One of the best smoothies I've ever had. The food we ordered all hit the spot and they were willing to omit our allergens/sensitivities. Wow! I wasn't expecting much from a food truck in a small city, but the combo platter that came with crisp kale, fried cauliflower and jerk "chicken" was so delicious and satisfying. Vegan or not, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I had the amazing fortune of eating their combo—they were vending at Soulcamp (soulful house music festival) at camping resort, Mendocino Magic. First, the cooking was absolutely quality. They took no shortcuts even if it was a late night order! Second, the flavors of each dish were simply superb. Simple ingredients done well and unique in my palette. I live in The Bay Area and am surrounded with all kinds of food, but I’ve never tasted anything so good as their kale salad! Their cauliflower is probably the best I’ve ever had; it had a sharp light crisp. I ate the combo in this order: the cauliflower, the “chicken” substitute they use, the plantain, then onto the kale…and dang, the kale took me somewhere else! Their whole setup is great. This is the spot everyone. A total must have if you’re around. My compliments to the chef.

We found this place by accident after being food deprived from lack of vegan options all week visiting the Redwoods. The food was amazing, authentic, and a huge bonus that the owners were so lovely and gave great service. Thank you!

So yummy! We had the drumsticks, cauliflower, and tropical smoothie. It was all bold and flavorful and it hit the spot. They were in Hopland- I think it might be a permanent spot. Check their Instagram in case!

Don't miss this if you are in the area, it's just what we needed after a long road trip. We tried two food dishes and two drinks, they were all amazing. Owners were friendly and had lovely conversation.

So much variety on such a small menu! Our visit to Island Spice , despite almost missing it in this small town, (it's in an area w other food trucks, a bit back from the street)was worth the challenge! We tried the BBQ nuggets, lemon pepper drumstick, fried cauliflower and fries. All very well cooked to order ; just regret they were out of fried plantains. Though I'm not a bbq fan, I really liked the bbq nuggets, and the additional sauce: 2 versions j*** or regular. The drumstick was nicely flavored without being overpowering, the fries were good, but my fav was the cauliflower; crispy without being greasy and addictive enough that I had to restrain myself from eating the entire portion in one sitting.
The food is exquisite and the women that served it were beautiful and kind! Such a treat! I highly recommend the island spice vegan burger and fried cauliflower so delicious!

Oh my gosh everybody. Seriously. The steak and cheese is savory, spicy, with a hint of sweet. The plantains are PERFECT. The fried cauliflower blew us away. Even the kale- whatever the dressing is is sooo gooood! All the food has incredible flavor balance. Yuuuuuuum!
