We ordered many types of cookies from Schat's for our dessert bar for our wedding. I wish I had photos of them because they were so beautiful. Everything was delicious and everything was eaten either that evening or the next morning with coffee. Communication and ordering was easy and I delegated pick up to a friend and that went smoothly as well. Highly recommend!

One of the best things about Ukiah not counting Marvelous Mavel Hatley the ex roller derby star for the Oakland Rockettes is Schat's Bakery & Café! It was Theodore Tenderpuss my old pal from Liverpool that relocated to Ukiah some 20 years ago from England, and has since made Schat's his local favorite, so when old Ted turned me on to Schat's it became a favorite of mine as well. Comfortable and warm, Schat's Bakery was perfect on the rainy day I and my two friends were there. I had soup which was delicious and enjoyed a sandwich, which was shared. The Flourless chocolate cake that we picked up to go and ate later the same day, was the best flourless chocolate cake I had ever had! The cake was moist and flavored with raspberries. Schat's is the place to stop in Ukiah for lunch, pastries, or cakes. Highly recommend this bakery.
I like the environment very much. We went for the treats and tried a couple. So far only one thing was exceptional and that was the caramelized bran muffin. Best ive ever had. I may choose this over any muffin, it was so good. The matter latte was advertised as new and it was a disappointment. The staff seemed overwhelmed or unfriendly, not sure which

Was here in Ukiah for a golf tournament and saw the Schats banner on the #1 T box and decided to check it out. Walking in the door I noticed the great atmosphere, Cabinets with delicious baked goods and the smell of coffee wafting through the air. There was a young men meticulously cleaning tables which as a clean freak, what's nice to see. Everything from the fresh orange juice to the bagel and baked goods that we sampled was fantastic! The staff were working hard to get the line of customers taken care of as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the gal at the register made a couple errors on the order and was a little short when we asked her to fix her mistakes, but the good food made up for it. We'll be back!
