I'm new to Ukiah, this is my first time here at Sunny's Donuts. Beautiful family owne pastry shop with sandwiches, drinks and donuts. I recommend coming here! I asked for 2 filled donuts and she didn't have any available, and you know what she did. She filled them right on the spot no questions asked. I order the #C which is a ham and cheese croissant with onions and cucumbers. It didn't disappoint, the croissant was soft and flaky. Such a kind woman, I will be a regular here from now on!

We have a local senior housing community in Ukiah. The owner of the company gives us a discount on our donuts for our seniors bi monthly donut and coffee meeting. The donuts are always delicious, staff is very friendly, she has the donuts ready for us(service is A+) the atmosphere is the same for the last 40 plus years, it's comforting to local patrons.

An absolute favorite place of mine! Especially when I want a quick treat. It’s perfect for a refreshing drink on a hot day or a cozy treat on a rainy day. The place being 24 hours makes it an easy early am stop for road trips too. Highly recommend, staff are so nice and always make me feel so special ❤️

I recently stopped by Sunny’s Donuts hoping for a quick treat and a refreshing drink, and I left with mixed feelings about the experience.
I ordered a blended mango drink with lychee, and to be fair, it was the best part of the visit. The drink was smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet, with a good balance between the mango and lychee. It was refreshing and made well—definitely something I’d consider getting again if I were in the area.
However, the maple bar I picked up left a lot to be desired. It didn’t taste fresh and was overly oily, making it heavy and greasy rather than light and fluffy like a good donut should be. It seemed like it may have been sitting out for a while. For a shop that specializes in donuts, I expected better quality.
The atmosphere inside the store was also lacking. There was no music or background sound, which made the space feel cold and uninviting. On top of that, there was a guy standing near the counter who kept staring at me while I ordered—not sure if he was a customer or staff, but it made the experience feel awkward and uncomfortable.
Another thing to note: they have a $5 minimum for credit card purchases, which isn’t uncommon but can be inconvenient if you’re just popping in for a single item or drink. Be prepared to either add something else to your order or pay in cash if you’re under that threshold.
The staff member behind the counter was polite and efficient, but overall, the shop just didn’t feel very welcoming. Between the lack of ambiance, the uncomfortable vibe, and the underwhelming pastry, I didn’t feel inclined to stick around or return soon.
That said, if you’re just grabbing a fruit smoothie to-go, it may be worth a stop—especially for the blended options like the one I had. But if you’re looking for fresh donuts or a relaxing café environment, there are likely better spots in town.

It’s really a pleasure to go into here to see her. Despite the location she does an excellent job running the shop. Would recommend if you are looking for coffee, donuts, or a light lunch/sandwich. Best donuts EVER!! These are worth making a special trip. You won’t be disappointed by this iconic donut shop. Pick your donut and they can fill it with jelly, lemon or Bavarian cream. Plus every other kind of donut you can imagine. The cinnamon rolls are delicious! Another favorite of mine is anything with their maple icing be a it’s made perfectly. They also have great sandwiches for breakfast lunch or anytime. I highly recommend you visit Sunny’s Donuts!

My teacher recommended this place to eat and honestly it's good for a donut place. Good selection of donuts, sandwiches, and drinks- the drinks! They had my favorite apple juice drink!! And open 24/7 for a small place, applause👏

Absolute hidden gem! The service is fantastic and the donuts are as good as I've ever had.
Donut holes- Absolutely amazing. Buttery and delicious glaze. Based off the donut holes alone this place is a Best-Of.
Cinnamon twist- giant cinnamon twist! Unltra moist. Good amount of cinnamon but would benefit from more. Again, the glaze here is fantastic. 10/10 donut.
Apple fritter- Top fritter. Near perfect crisp edges. Moist soft center. The glaze here is top notch. A great amount of apple filling with a good flavor. The donut dough is buttery and sweet. This is absolutely a top fritter for me.
Chocolate sprinkle- Solid donut! Very light and fluffy, very Mary-Lee esque. The chocolate frosting is really good.
