The food was good, nothing special.

The food was decent but pricey for the portion. I order Soup/Seafoods plate and I have to ask for a spoon, it has 4 mussels, 4 clams and 4 shrimps for $31. The utensils are stained and I asked the server to replace but she never came back.

We went as a party of four into the beehive, a couple of weeks ago, and it was absolutely fabulous! We sat upstairs in the bar area, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a bartender that I recognized, and he made me my favorite drink! The food was fantastic And the service was also fantastic. We loved the whole experience!

Food was good and reasonably priced except for ribeye for 50 dollars that we didn't have. Unfortunately we could barely carry on a conversation because of the screaming toddlers.

My wife and I took some friends to dinner here. We arrived early (around 5 p.m.), and the place was almost empty. The service was very good. The music was so loud it was hard to hear each other and talk.

We tried the Pulled Pork Sliders. There were four of us, and they brought us three sliders without mentioning that they came as three. That seemed foolish, to say the least. The sliders were OK, but the buns were tough and not as fresh as they should have been. The pork was tough (which is hard to do with pulled pork since it is almost always tender).

For our main courses, our friends had Chicken Piccata and seafood stew. They both liked their meals. My wife had Chicken Alfredo. She said the chicken was good but that the noodles and sauce were only so-so. I had Prime Rib Steak. It was extremely thin (about 1/2") and very fatty for a prime rib. The sauces were good, but for $50, it should have been much, much better. First, go with a better cut of prime rib that isn't so cheap and thin. The potatoes were OK, but certainly not great and the same was true of the vegetables.

The dessert menu was a disappointment. Too many restaurants offer creme brulee as an option, and I don't think I have been to a nice dinner restaurant in the last several years that didn't. It's not that I don't like it. I just find it a typical, run-of-the-mill choice. The Beehive only had four desserts and two of them were creme brulee, so they really only had three choices. We decided to share the two creme brulee choices, and no one was impressed by either of them all that much. They were OK at best. I would really like to see nice dinner restaurants offer choices that aren't available everywhere else (and more than three choices).

Our bill was almost $300 for four people (including tip), and our meal certainly wasn't a $300 meal.

I would like to see this place make it, but I doubt they will unless they improve their food and lower their prices to something more realistic for Ukiah. There are several restaurants in town that are as good or better at lower prices.

It was our first time at the newly opened restaurant. The staff were very friendly and seated us right away. Our drink order was taken and served in a timely manner and the drinks were adequate. The menu is extensive with flavor's and combinations that are not available anywhere else in Ukiah. From the wings, to the garlic fries, the chicken pablano pasta, and the octopus tostada, the flavors were awesome! Nothing under cooked, nothing over cooked, nothing greasy. Just great food, great service and great atmosphere! They really know how to make a creme brulee as well! 😁

UPDATE: I went again on 10/12 and had the chicken Alfredo and the broiled oyster appetizer
yall the food is chef’s kiss but we have GOT to do something about the gnats. I’m totally bringing my bug zapper next visit. I’m a country girl so I just fished them out of my glass of wine. There were less bugs outside, just saying.

Let me start by saying I visited The Beehive on Friday 10/4 and Saturday 10/5. Both times the service was excellent and the food surpassed expectations! On Friday night I had the Potatas Bravas and the Glazed Pork Belly. The pork belly was tender and flavorful but I didn’t much care for the potatas bravas but that’s just me. My friend got the smokey ahi and the goat cheese bruschetta things which were both really good! We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was great all minus the gnats. The door was left open and the bugs were relentless! I hope that management sees my review and will invest in a screen door or curtain 🙏. On Saturday I met another friend and she got the Smokey ahi and the ahi tuna salad. The tuna salad was absolutely amazing! By far the best dish I had here. I got the chicken piccata which was so comforting and reminded me of thanksgiving. The green beans were perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes tasted like my grandmother’s! Overall I’m extremely happy with the food, service, ambiance, and location of The Beehive. I’m hoping they get a legit phone number soon so more people can make reservations instead of just using instagram. You guys will do great! You’ve done such a great job with your staff and menu. Kudos for finding great cooks too. It’s nice to see a restaurant in Ukiah have such a promising opening!

The Place was slammed busy! We sat upstairs at the Bar, which ended up being great. The two bartenders Steven and Justin worked very well with each other and did an outstanding job. The drinks were tasty, and the food was on point. I had the chicken picata which was amazing! Will be back again.

One of the best restaurants in Ukiah, CA. If you go please order the mexican cocktail “El Carajillo”.

Just had an awesome night at The Beehive in Ukiah! I personally love tapas restaurants because they let you try so many different things, and this place did not disappoint. We didn’t have a reservation, and everything was packed, but we snagged seats at the bar, which turned out to be perfect!

We dove into the pulled pork sliders, patatas bravas, octopus tostada, and finished off with coffee crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e. I’ve got to say, the octopus tostada was a total winner—might even be better than the ones at Left Coast. Yep, I said it!

And the cocktails? Wow! I tried the Tropical Storm, a sweet and spicy delight with chili oil and Tajín—it was like a party in a glass. The She Devil was a bit stronger but oh-so-good. And the Smoked Old Fashioned? It smelled divine!

But the best drink of the night? The Carajillo. It’s not your typical version from Mexico; this one has tequila and feels like a silky espresso martini. Absolutely delicious!

We even got to meet the owner, who was super friendly and showed us around. All in all, The Beehive is definitely going to be one of my favorite spots in Mendocino. Can’t wait to come back!
