I ordered the special ham combo bani mi sandwich. I liked how they use fresh French bread baguette. I added extra pate. They charged 75 cents not expensive for the added pate. The sandwich overall was satisfying.

Wow. Really overpriced for a make your own Che. I paid almost $10 for a cup of Che!! That's crazy. Service was slow, I had to ring the bell for someone to come out and take my order and when greeted, they probably wish I wasn't there. I ordered a create your own Che with 6 toppings and coconut milk. 7/10 but including the price, 5/10. I would not come back. I had better Che in San Jose for half the price. Also if it is under $10, $0.75 charge to use card. Ambiance is also really dim and dingy inside. I only came here to get dessert next door.

Desperate cravings calls for desperate measures. Unfortunately for me, but i took one for the team on this one. I had been craving banh mi and Vietnamese curry, unable to drive i was forced to order delivery. Looking at photos this place looks as though it would be an absolute gem giving off, "hole in the wall" vibes. This was my first time and definitely will be the last time i ever order food from this business (sorry). If there's an appetizer that could continually blow my mind, it would be popcorn chicken. At Che-Lo the this breaded and deep fried snack as probably the best item i had ordered. Don't get me wrong tho, because as tasty and well seasoned the chicken was, it was incredibly dry. Just as i anxiously opened my meal up, i began to eat the grilled pork banh mi which had me questioning my purpose in life. The veggies were cool i don't see how you could go wrong there, but the pork which would be the star of the show tasted so dry i felt like SpongeBob without water all shriveled up. The bread was only mid and leaned towards the more traditional version of a French baguette rather than a Vietnamese style which had me disappointed. Quickly shifting my attention, i began to try the curry with banh mi. One bite was all it took for me to make a sour face as the curry was unbelievably salty. I closed the lid, gave it a good shake, and tried again as i desperately tried to save my meal in hopes that something would satisfy me. I ended up throwing the entire meal that i had ordered away.

I've ate a lot of Banh Mi sandwiches in my time but the Lemon grass chicken and the smoked Brisket are the, hands down best banh mi's ive ever had. Although the brisket smoke is probably artificial, the concept is amazing and tastes so freakin good. And the lemon grass is so good as well. Crunchy warm roll, tender meet and fresh cilantro, daikon pickle and jalapeños. So good!!!

Unhygienic Environment and Pest Issue Review: I've had consistent issues with the hygiene at this establishment. The pervasive presence of flies is not only unpleasant but also a serious concern for anyone ordering food. Even when I stick to just coffee, the experience is marred by the unsanitary conditions. During my recent visit, I observed bread placed directly on the floor, covered only with plastic wrap. This raises significant questions about the overall cleanliness standards. I strongly advise caution to those considering ordering food here until the sanitation concerns are adequately addressed.

Friendly staff, great food, and solid prices. My go-to order is the BM1/BM12, fried wontons, and the sweet summer drink (the best combo)!! Highly recommend checking out this spot.

Very good pizza (lots of unique options, too) & a very good price! Very good French fries, too! They use the slice app where you can track your pizza's progress!

Best banh mi in the East Bay imo. Viet coffee and fried wontons go the best with a BM1 with fried egg. This place needs some more love forreal! It is quite hard to notice since it's in between so many other places, but a great choice if in the area.

I am at a loss for words to express my experience at this location. I've been a patron since childhood, under the original ownership. However, the new management has drastically altered prices, lacks kindness, and provides poor customer service. Today, I made a purchase of three items, including a vegetarian sandwich, which was incorrectly prepared. While in the car with my partner, I noticed the sandwich was missing veggies. I promptly called to inform them and returned to the establishment. The server assured me they would prepare a new sandwich. As I waited, I observed the owner berating the server who took my order, although a language barrier left me unsure of the specifics. Another customer calmly expressed dissatisfaction with their incorrectly made drink, only to be attacked by the owner instead of being listened to. Shocked by this behavior, I hoped to swiftly resolve my own situation. However, when my food arrived, it was tossed on the counter. Instead of remaking the sandwich, they haphazardly added the missing veggies to the original, flawed sandwich.Confused, I called the owner seeking clarification, only to be met with more yelling. Despite trying to explain the missing veggies and the additional payment for tofu, avocado, and bread, I was not allowed to speak. The owner interrupted, gaslighted, and embarrassed me in front of other customers who seemed indifferent to a minority woman facing unwarranted aggression for a mistake they made. Fearing a misrepresentation, I called my partner, who witnessed the owner's aggressive demeanor upon arrival.Concerned for our safety, I began recording the interaction. Eventually, I received a refund, accompanied by the owner's dismissive laughter and holiday wishes. I am utterly speechless about today's experience, feeling hurt and disgusted by the mistreatment. This is not an isolated incident, and I firmly believe Che lo needs to improve. Every individual should be treated with respect, customers should be heard, and accountability should be taken for errors without blaming loyal patrons. I have decided never to return to this establishment.*on yelp there’s a videoVegetarian options: Don’t come here. It’s not worth the money nor the disrespect.

I'm supposed to drink jelly and taro balls without straw??? Imagine if even a cup would need to be a special request, they could deliver the liquid you order in their palm and say that you didn't request a paper cup. These people are illogical.

Sent no straw with my drink. I ended up tossing their drink in the trash I'm not gonna drink it by hand. Deserves negative rating.

Two stars for service, as the owner and staff were really nice but like many other reviewers the banh mi was mainly bread. Recommend going to another spot for sandwiches. Waste of money.
