Menya Shono Reviews
Menya Shono is a good quality ramen restaurant in the East Bay and I'm happy to have tried their original Ginjo ramen. Some standouts: atmosphere is modern and clean, pork chashu is slightly smoky in flavor, and broth is rich/thick. My party had no wait on a weekend lunch. Parking is easy in the public lot.
This place started out great. Over time, quality suffered. But they are back, and the ramen is once again sooooo delicious. It’s now one of the best ramen spots in the Bay. Please keep it up!
They missed the onsen egg in my ramen order; didn’t know until I saw the door poster on the way
Menya Shono is a ramen restaurant located in the Bay Area that offers delicious and flavorful dishes. Their Ginjo Toripaitan Ramen is particularly praised for its rich and flavorful broth, described as super thick and rich, resembling a bowl of tsukemen. The restaurant is known for its rich and creamy signature ramens, with freshly made, hand-crafted noodles that ensure a great dining experience. While some reviews have noted a change in the chashu's flavor, the food's quality, including fresh ingredients, is consistently commended. The cozy atmosphere features cute decor and semi-bright lighting, making it suitable for groups, dates, or family gatherings. Ordering is easy with QR codes at each table, and the staff is reported to be fast and friendly, even during busy times. The Ginjo is noted to be rich and flavorful, not overly salty, and lighter soup options are available. Overall, Menya Shono is regarded as one of the best ramen spots within a ten-mile radius.
