The location is small, the cam arriero bad.. just tasted like oil and salt n pepper, no type of seasoning.. rice ok, beans bad.. our server was very busy.. maby come in on another day.... but the table are like foot away from each other... maby was bad luck???

Update to previous review with a dinner review and it was exceptional. The food and service were so much better than my initial review. Definitely coming back for dinner! Got the grilled seafood with beans and rice that had clams, mussels, crab, shrimp, fish and maybe scallops (see pic of amazing food), carne asada tacos which were ehh okay and enchiladas that were yummy! The star of the show was the Molcajete De Mariscos!!
Lunch review - The food was pretty okay for a Mexican spot. Mexican food is my favorite!
Service is just okay. I definitely didn’t expect much, but they did try to get over on us on a couple of beers we ordered and charged us double!! So be sure to check your tab!

Gorgeous atmosphere, with a beautiful interior, patio, and bar. When I went, there were 3 different birthdays with lots of smiling families. Staff was friendly and attentive, when they weren't singing birthday songs.
Most under-seasoned Mexican food I've ever eaten. Highly Americanized. I ordered the Carne Asada. The plate it came with had a salad with croutons and french fries on it alongside the rice and beans. This struck me as odd.
In the running for least tasty Mexican restaurant I've been to.

The employees were super nice. Unfortunately the service not so well. It took 15min for drinks. And even after we got the drink’s, by the time we were ready to order everyone in the table needed refills. After we ordered the food 5/6 orders were ready and by the time the last plate came everyone was half way done. Needed to ask 4 times for refills. And for more chips as well. The main problem was asking for a $60 tip on a $350 bill which we gave. Server only came when called. All 5 of us work for restaurants and we understand the restaurant work. But this was ridiculous. Late food/No checkup/No boxes/No bill and still wanted a decent tip? Not pleased.
This place is better than all the places in Socal (outside of LA). The Chile Verde was absolutely amazing. Tender pork, flavorful salsa. I am incredibly impressed.

Tipico is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. My family has been coming here since the 80s,when it was in old Alvarado. So happy when it opened to this location. The food gets better every time I eat here !

It was really a wonderful experience! It's my first time here and I'm quiet satisfied by the tasty food they served. Everything seems to be accurate on my taste. The entire interior is nice. I think the building is built to perfection. The staffs were very kind and diligent. They manage to keep the area clean and organize. It's just so easy to park too. They had this generous area for parking too.
