Food is great. But you walk in and staff walks by you without acknowledging you. I’ve worked in the food service for over 59 years and as a Regional Chef, I understand the importance of customer service. I was totally ignored and a couple that came in after me was seated first. Three people walked right past me and one was what I assume was a phone order, but not even an “I’ll be right with you glance” All I could say was wow and just walked out.

Me and a friend wanted to try this place out. We sat at the bar, the bartender Edson was awesome. He was very quick to serve us the chips and salsa. Our food came out quick as well. The chips were fresh still warm and the salsa was probebly the best salsa I ever had. We got the tacos, steak and pastor. It came with a little bit of beans, cooked onions radishes pickled carrots on the side. I enjoyed the food with a coke in a bottle. The bar set up is nice and big. The atmosphere was nice and open. I didn't feel like I was in a tight spot. I give the bartender Edson and the staff a 5 star out of 5 and I will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the camarones a la diabla, and my colleague had the camarones a la cucaracha. Both dishes were exceptionally unique, flavorful, and delicious. The beverages were also excellent; I had the tamarindo margarita, and my colleague had the Cadillac margarita. 10/10

This place is very fancy well designed but the food is below the street market value. I bought both chicken and beef burritos. They’re probably 1 tablespoon of chicken in the whole burrito is very tasteless. I had four different people taste it. Everybody came up with the same review that this place is not worth it. They make everything look fancy to charge you $30 for a burrito but it’s not worth two dollars save your money go to a taco truck instead.

I came here with my brother and we grabbed seats at the bar, which ended up being a great decision. Mexico Tipico has some amazing cocktails that really stand out. We tried a Michelada topped with ceviche, which was honestly next level and something you don’t see everywhere. We also had a spicy jalapeño margarita that had a nice kick without being overpowering, and a mezcal blueberry margarita that was smooth, balanced, and full of flavor.

The atmosphere at the bar was relaxed and fun, the drinks were well crafted, and the overall experience was solid. If you’re into unique cocktails with bold flavors, this is definitely a spot worth checking out in Union City. Would absolutely come back to try more from their drink menu 🍹🌶️🍋

Update to previous review with a dinner review and it was exceptional. The food and service were so much better than my initial review. Definitely coming back for dinner! Got the grilled seafood with beans and rice that had clams, mussels, crab, shrimp, fish and maybe scallops (see pic of amazing food), carne asada tacos which were ehh okay and enchiladas that were yummy! The star of the show was the Molcajete De Mariscos!!

Lunch review - The food was pretty okay for a Mexican spot. Mexican food is my favorite!

Service is just okay. I definitely didn’t expect much, but they did try to get over on us on a couple of beers we ordered and charged us double!! So be sure to check your tab!
