IT HAS CLOSED DOWN…. Apparently it shut down 5 days ago (as of this writing)

Checked google hours, Went all the way, dealt with the parking, walked over and there was nothing.. it was a ghost town/ signage all had been removed. Wasabi restaurant next door let us know they shut 5 days ago. So save yourself trip if you’re coming here.

The food is hot and fresh. The service is fast. The portions are good and the price is right.

The worst experience! my family and I waited for over 20 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge us and when she did she didn’t seem to please to be our waitress.she didn’t even let us finish our order before she walked away with a snarky attitude .a table sat done next to us about 10 minutes after we where seated and she was more then please to help them.they order and received their food way before she even decided to come and take our order .the racism was clear.I would never again give my business to this restaurant .I would have expected more from a restaurant in this location but I definitely was wrong.

This place is surprisingly good for a tourist trap location. The food is fresh & flavorful, the staff is kind & efficient, it's very clean & peaceful inside. I have been here many times & it's consistently a very pleasant experience. If you want a little respite from the bustle of citywalk, this is the place!

Waited to be seated. Made eye contact with multiple employees, and we were simply ignored. Yeah, a hard NO for this eatery.

Came here with my mom while waiting for my family to be done with the park. They gladly modified my order of noodles to be non-spicy. It was very delicious and the server was very kind. Receipt said server's name was Xiaomei. Also the menu on Universal Studios Hollywood website for Dong Po is inaccurate so if you see the menu online make sure to prepare for changes when dining.

It’s pretty darn good. The food exceeds expectations for the price. It’s authentic. And this is in comparison to Markham, Ontario, Canada, which has been called a Chinese colony due to the demographic.

Service and atmosphere of the place were both great,
Downside to it was that the food was exceptionally SALTY,
it's literally eating salt. You can feel the grains of salt in each of the dry dishes. It's like the chef tasted the dish while cooking and felt it's bland, then went on to pour salt but into the bin and tadaa constantly addition of the salt till it became salty dishes.
I mean I grew up in a Chinese country and grew up eating and love Chinese food but this is definitely not a good representation of Chinese cuisine. I definitely hope it will improve the quality of its food since I am not the first to comment the saltiness of it.

Passable food, I had the beef Dan Dan noodles. The noodles and broth were good, the beef was absolutely not good, didn't even eat more than a bite of it. Other things that were good were orange chicken, spicy chicken, and mapo tofu.

Pork buns were bad, don't get those.

We got a bill charging us for other dishes We never ordered. When I asked the server to correct the mistake, She made me feel like I didn't know how to read numbers, She said "It is the same amount as your correct bill, just sign" I replied to her I would like my bill to show what I actually consumed. Well after going back and forth many times, they finally fixed the bill. Over $100 for four small plates of fried rice??!! And the tip gets charged into your bill??.
Worst experience ever. There are better and cheaper options on the second floor.

We decided to give this place a try, but please, save your time and money. First thing was the service, or the lack thereof. There were only 2 other tables and us, but the lack of service was abysmal. They forgot to bring stuff, they never came to check on us UNTIL we had to wave to them. It's like they saw us and would turn around to not have to come to us. We tried 3 different plates, the pot stickers, the orange chicken and the diced beef with black pepper.

When I say the food had NO FLAVOR whatsoever. The pot stickers and the orange chicken were so bland. Absolutely horrible. The beef was chewy and it seemed they just dumped the whole bottle of black pepper on it. Food overall was so horrible it made my stomach turn. And on top of everything, it's not cheap!! 3 bites is all we took of everything and left all the good on the table.

Save your money and time and just go to Panda Express, it's right upstairs from this place. I wish we would've just gone up there, but wanted to try something new. Lesson learned.

Edit: and just so you know, there was no shift change. We went to this restaurant just after it had opened.

I love Chinese food but go to Panda Express because the spicy chicken was so dry and had no flavor it was only crust. The table next to us didn’t eat their spicy chicken and disliked it. They had fries in the spicy chicken too and that was probably the best part and still lacked flavor. The fried rice was normal nothing special and the bao was good but could have had more flavor. If you want Chinese , walk up the escalators to Panda Express to get better Chinese.
