FIVE on the Hill

I came to this establishment to celebrate a birthday, it was a very underwhelming experience. The IG posts are not what this place offers. The food was not great but it was over priced for the value. I didn't mind paying if it was worth the value. The parking is way over priced. Apparently the parking is $60 an hour, but if you go to the restaurant it's $15-$20 and hour, that's ridiculous!

I usually don't write reviews, but this one I had to. The Eggs Benedict was awful -- the sauce tasted like pure vinegar. The chicken and waffles weren't much better; the chicken was okay, but the waffles were undercooked and doughy. Even the water tasted off, like tap water from a third-world country, and the glasses were dirty. Honestly, it was worse than a high school cafeteria meal.

Food wasn't as good as I would like it to be. Server would rarely check up on us. Quality of food was just ok.

Came here during a trip to LA after visiting the Hollywood sign. Cute little outdoor restaurant under a gazebo type patio at the Hilton. There are lots of flowers hanging from the ceiling and they had Christmas ornaments as well for the season. They had heaters as well as fire pits in the middle of some tables so even though it was 60 outside we were still warm. The drinks were great and I had the steak au poivre with frites which was perfectly tender and seasoned. Staff was kind. We came at 5 and the place was packed by 7 with families coming from Universal so I'd definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time. I would definitely come back!

It was my first time visiting Five On The Hill and I had a good time with my wife, and I'll be going back in the near future.

It was lunch on a Sunday. Not too crowded not too light on the patrons either. The service is the worst I've experienced here; maybe it's because the servers no longer collect tips? My iced tea was never refilled so I had to ask. The salad took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and it arrived with the food. Come on. Do better. We pay to eat here and you can't even give us a salad for more than 30 minutes? You never came by to ask us what we need? I had to flag you down for iced tea refill and a check?

The service was outstanding!!! Our server was super nice and attentive. The food was ok, but pricey for what it is and for the portion sizes. I also didn't realize this was just a small outside area by the Hilton hotel so that was a little underwhelming. The decorations for Christmas were cute, but because of it being just a small outside area by the hotel in person as it's not as immersive as it seems like it is on social media. Check out their social media if you go because they run specials that you need to specifically ask for to get.

Food and drinks where average, however extremely overpriced. They charged us a $24 facility charge to pay for their establishment. I'm sorry but why are we paying for the establishment of the business? On top of that we left gratuity because the waiter was really sweet and helpful. The establishment is average even with Christmas decor. I would honestly recommend you go to a nice steakhouse. For the same price you can dine soooooooo much better. Don't do it not worth it!!! You are better off going to Lawry's, Ocean Prime, BOA steakhouse, Javier's!!! Thank me later

If you're staying at the Hilton Hotel at Universal Studios and want a great dinner without having to drive to, this is your best option. Service is great, the owners pay the workers with above wages, so tips are not accepted. Loved the Champange flight and Steak Au Proire was excellent.

Food and drink was average, service was great, biggest complaint was the 15% facility fee or whatever they call it. This doesn’t go to the servers, the small print at the bottom says it’s a non tipping facility BUT they charge you a 15% “fee” that goes to the hotel ?!? I can’t get over how wrong this is on so many levels. This isn’t all of California, seems to be specific to the hotel. Greedy and wrong

The View and vibe was incredible! The staff were very friendly and helpful it was a great experience!

An overall enjoyable experience. Beautiful environment - a ceiling of fall flowers, fire tables, fun music. Great service - thank you Martín for accommodating our table switch and the great food recommendations to and the chef for the yummy jalapeño cornbread. Loved the Brussels Sprouts, the black cod, and the steak. Too bad we were too full for dessert.

Cute place great for photos.the Brussels sprouts were amazing. However parking should be free

We were served 3 bowls of uncooked rice, said they will not include it in our bill anymore but they included & lighting is really gloomy at night.
