The place was ok. First getting here with Google maps gets you lost. Lol Go through to the Hilton Hotel the restaurant is across the front entrance of the Hotel. There is self-parking and valet. Kind pricey for 2 and bottomless, about 159$ that's including a no tip mandatory 15% restaurant fee. Bottomless mimosas were good. My favorite was the passion fruit and peach I think. Lavender was ok. The food I ordered chicken and waffles and I was slightly disappointed. Not much flavor on the chicken just red powder, not spicy. My sister ordered steak and eggs with chimichurri. That was ok meat. Service was ok and reservations recommended.
You would think a wonderful spot to enjoy a picturesque dining experience would warrant a higher rating, however after dining there 6/23/25 and heading home I began to have symptoms such as nausea, cold sweats and chills. This all occurred within two hours of driving home to the valley. But by the time I made it home, I immediately had to go to the restroom to regurgitate my ribeye steak. My partner also did the same a few hours after I did around 1 am. We had shared our two plates so we’re unsure exactly which plate caused us to be sick.
After speaking with management and loss prevention (Bryan) they’re sending paperwork to file a complaint and statement of mine and my partners experience. All of this with no mention of reimbursement, compensation, or even a sorry for your negative experience for making my partner and I sick all night.
After being in the restaurant management and hospitality industry for six years I don’t believe this is right. Food Bourne illnesses take as little as 30 minutes to take effect and all it takes is for one person to use a dirty a set of utensils while cooking or not washing their hands to cause this.
This restaurant has delicious food! We ordered 3 meals and an appetizer. The braised beef dish was outstanding, actually, the best braised beef dish I have ever eaten! Everything was very favorable and beautiful. We enjoyed it all. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
The aesthetic was amazing of course although I did not enjoy the food as much, and our server could’ve been a tad bit nicer. I still enjoyed the time we spent here, amazing views!!!
Good food, good service and atmosphere. Valet is $20 worth it especially if you're wearing heels otherwise self parking is available for just under $9.
Greg was our waiter and he was too busy laughing and talking to the other waitress to pay any attention to us. We had to wait for what felt like forever to get our food. Food portion sizes are really small and vegetarian food is extremely limited. Ambience is kind of catfish but still nice. Left the restaurant still feeling hungry despite ordering 3 dishes
Three Stars for Five on the Hill
Five on the Hill is a small, quaint, and cute restaurant with a charming vibe. Its covered outdoor so I recommend bringing a jacket if you tend to get cold easily.
While my husband found his food to be delicious, my experience was somewhat mixed. I’m still picking lobster out of my teeth as I write this. Unfortunately, the lobster was chewiest I’ve ever had, the chips were soggy and I chose to return it. On a brighter note, the drinks looked pretty and were quite enjoyable.
Service was decent overall, but it's important to note that the hotel charges an additional 15% fee, which is not mentioned upfront. It’s something to be aware of when considering dining here.
Overall, a pleasant experience with some room for improvement.
Beautiful Instagram spot with reheated hotel restaurant food. We had a bizarre dinner experience after reading the reviews. The pricy burger was swimming in mayo, the tartar was 80 percent creme fresh, and the chicken that came out with a friend's salad was rock hard and dry. When you can use a chicken breast to bang like a hammer on the table, not good. Also HILARIOUSLY expensive given the service and food quality. Skip this place, take a 10 minute Uber, and eat at a much better place down on Ventura.
The overall experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the service was attentive and the atmosphere pleasant, the food and seating left much to be desired. I ordered the steak and eggs, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The steak lacked flavor and was barely recognizable as a proper cut of meat. It felt like an afterthought rather than a highlight of the meal. The staff was friendly and prompt. The ambiance was also enjoyable, with a nice vibe that made the space feel welcoming.

The Christmas jingle tavern was beautiful!! The lobster scampi and drunken noodles tastes phenomenal and the drinks tastes smooth and tasteful while still strong enough to get a good kick. Will come back again for the view and great tasting food and service

Disappoiing. The food was DRY. Ee were a group of 9. A few of us had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were extremely hard and flavorless. The chicken breast strips were initially fried hard (dry) and covered in chili powder & tajin. It was saturated in cooking oil. It honestly was disgusting. Our Waiter offered to bring chicken without the chili rub and even that chicken breast were so dried outband saltless.
Sone other guests ordered the surf and turf omelete. It was Sooo dry also. Both the steak and shrimp were overccoked. No peppers or onion or sauce. Honestly, the menu needs a complete overhaul. Do better Exec chef.

Cute little restaurant with nice atmosphere. The food was also nice albeit a little of the pricey side. The sea-cutterie board was delicious. Cocktails were also great.
The restaurant is away from everything so the food is cooked from within the hotel and brought out to you. Bathrooms are also inside the hotel so you have to walk a little ways to get to them.
