The Three Broomsticks at Universal Studios Hollywood is a unique dining experience with a Harry Potter twist, but the food can be a bit hit-or-miss. I visited around quarter before noon when it was still relatively quiet, and had the Fish & Chips while my girlfriend tried the Roast Chicken Platter. Unfortunately, both dishes were somewhat dry and overdone. The Fish and Chips, while crispy on the outside, lacked moisture and flavor in the fish itself. Similarly, the Roast Chicken was dry and could have used more seasoning to enhance its taste. The British fare was decent overall, but the execution left something to be desired. The atmosphere, however, was enchanting and truly transported us into the world of Hogwarts, making the meal somewhat memorable despite the culinary shortcomings. If you're a die-hard Harry Potter fan, it's still worth a visit, but be prepared for potential disappointments on the food front.
Waited way too long. Definitely not worth it.
One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Terrible food, plastic plates and a prix fix menu where the only drink available was water. It was lacking in all areas, had no Harry Potter ambiance and was offensively expensive. Save yourself and don't come here.
The host here on June 3, 2025, was nothing but unprofessional and seemed to take his frustration from life out on the customers. He was extremely aggressive and had no ability to interact with people. He kept yelling at customers like a child throwing a fit. The service would've been better if no one was there at all. His pay check is a waste of money and would be better used on training employees.
Chicken taste like costco sorry the food is not good for me
Very authentic place for Harry Potter fans to eat. Long queue. Not a great experience for coeliacs only roast chicken available but the staff did understand the importance of cross contamination etc. food was nice enough (fish and chips - not gluten free) and chicken with potato for coeliacs. Would recommend if you’re into HP.
Waited 2 hours to eat and it didn’t even fill me up. I got the veggie platter because they didn’t have any of the vegan shepherd’s pie. It tasted fine. They should really put a sign outside that says that the line continues inside. Never going here again.

1. Did online Mobile order, you have to check in person with them after you arrive, otherwise they won’t prepare your food!!!
2. There is no service, I cleaned the previous person’s table myself.
3. They say the food is what they serve in Hogwarts, seems to be normal theme park food to me.

This restaurant is a must see for HP fans. But beware the food is just OK. It really depends on whether the kitchen knows how to microwave frozen food properly. Toffee Pudding's bottom cake portion was overheated (probably was frozen and then got over-microwaved) and became very hard. Not worth the price paid.
Mobile order was very inefficient. Once you click the "I've arrived" button from your phone at the door and enter the restaurant's "mobile order pick up" counter, the waiting time is another 30+min to get the food. I think people waited in the line then entered the restaurant got their food faster. (We placed our mobile order at 11am while waiting for a ride with 70 min wait time. We picked 1pm-1:30pm window instead of 12:30pm-1pm pick up window as we thought we need time to visit gift shop after the ride, use bathroom, walk from lower lot back to upper lot etc etc. By the time we got to the restaurant door (12:25pm) the staff told us not to cancel our mobile order and stand in the line. The staff said that it's better to wait for our pick up window and then click "I've arrived" on the clock. So we just waited outside for 35min until 1pm then clicked "I've arrived" but then we waited for another 30+min at the mobile pick up counter to receive our food.

Mac and cheese is totally inedible. Tastes like they deep fried each individual noodle in oil and then poured more oil on it, and then finally finished it off with melted cheese and more oil. We literally could not finish it which is lowkey crazy because it's not even a large portion. The other vegetarian options (asparagus platter and vegan pot pie) are good, but it's astonishing to me that you can actually screw up mac and cheese this bad while maintaining such a high standard with literally everything else. If you're vegetarian, and don't want an asparagus platter, a pot pie, or a coronary bypass surgery, this isn't a good option. staff was chill and atmosphere was great though 👍🏽
Vegetarian options: there's two outside of the mac and cheese and they're good, but the artery blockage i got after eating that nuclear pasta lowkey killed the vibe and i would rather Not subject anyone else to that. Stay safe chat

The food was SO good, vegetarian and vegan options are available 🌱 I had the asparagus plate and other notable items are the kids Mac and cheese plates (large portions with grapes and fries) and salads. We also had pear cider (we liked this better than the apple cider) and the buttercream dessert.
Ordering took a very long time and picking up the order took even longer. We spent well over an hour between ordering and waiting for it to be ready. I would definitely recommend ordering in advance and then eating outside.

The food was okay, but a lot of waiting just to get your food.
Kid-friendliness: It's a theme park. Go here if you like Harry Potter.
Wheelchair accessibility: The theme park hides wheelchair accessible. You need to ask staff for help.

First off, the universal studios food help page and email staff are great at helping confirm what can and can't be eaten. Reach out before your visit and they're more than happy to help accomidate to allergies. The three broomsticks has several options for people with dairy allergies, and as long as you tell the staff as you're ordering that you have an allergy then the cooks do a great job of making sure there's no cross contamination. Really enjoyed the vegan butterbeer!
Dietary restrictions: Milk allergy:
Spare ribs - request no butter
Herb roasted chicken - request no butter

One of the only places that sell hot Butterbeer in the park. It’s perfect for a chillier day and the flavour is like a butterscotch latte with no coffee. Great to sip on and warm up. The theming of the restaurant is great and the menu is quite vast with lots of food options.
