Surprisingly good.

Everything we had was good… Takoyaki with plenty octopus, miso soup had fresh tofu, spicy tuna roll, Agedashi tofu with big pieces of tofu, and the chef special crab hand roll…all were amazingly good…

Do not order any white wine!!! It was awful..

Went there for dinner after USH trip. This is very fulling! I have to say that the food is not the best or super authentic but it is delicious and worth the price esp. for the park food. Had delicious t-rex roll with scallop tuna shrimp tempura, tonkotsu ramen and takoyaki. Got exceptional service from Luzby, she anticipated your needs. She put chilli oil for ramen on the table without asking and it went really well with ramen. She also gave out fun positive vibes. I agree with the comment that save money for the park food and go with this one. 😁

Get the flaming rolls! Some of the best sushi I've ever had!! You can't get the flaming sushi anywhere else and the smokey flavor to it was amazing!

And Stefani was such a great server! Answered our questions and gave great suggestions!!

Nice little place! Unfortunately we came right before closing, so we tried our best to be quick with our orders and get outta there. But though our dinner was short, it was great! Server was extremely helpful and didn't seem at all bothered to serve us right before closing up. We even got extra miso soups on the house =) not sure if that was an accident or intentional but we were happy regardless.

To top it all off, after paying insane prices for food in the park, we were totally overjoyed that our small dinner came out to under $50 for the two of us. Great price for this location! I'd love to come back and spend more time here next time we end up in the area. And I definitely recommend saving your money in the amusement park and wait until you leave so you can spend all that money here instead 😀

I want to be straightforward: this restaurant is masquerading as a Japanese restaurant. Let’s start with the menu—it’s shocking to see they’ve simply written 'Kanji' for sake. For those unaware, 'Kanji' refers to Chinese characters, not sake, and this glaring mistake is obvious even to someone who isn’t Japanese. It’s clear there’s no authentic Japanese influence here.

Now onto the food. The Yuzu Margarita was a disappointment—a salty and unsavory drink that tasted neither of yuzu nor anything resembling a proper margarita. It was the shame of the day.

The shrimp tempura was another letdown. The shrimp were curly, a common mistake by those unfamiliar with proper tempura preparation. To make tempura correctly, you need to make small cuts along the shrimp’s belly to prevent it from curling. Even Costco manages to get their bulk tempura right, but this restaurant cannot.

The tonkotsu ramen was equally disappointing. We waited almost 30 minutes for our ramen, which is shockingly long for a dish that’s usually quick to prepare. Worse, during this time, we were completely ignored by the restaurant staff—no updates, no apologies, just a rude lack of care. When it finally arrived, the broth was watery, lacking the richness and creaminess that defines a good tonkotsu. The noodles were overcooked, and the bamboo shoots tasted like they came straight from a can. It felt like eating a bowl of rinse water with noodles.

To make matters worse, the staff placed the chopsticks vertically, pointing directly at other people. This is extremely disrespectful and rude in Japanese culture, as it violates basic chopstick etiquette. It’s another clear indication of their lack of understanding of Japanese dining traditions.

And finally, selling miso soup as a side dish feels like an insult to Japanese cuisine. I’d strongly recommend the restaurant owner take a trip to Japan to experience authentic Japanese food, learn the techniques, and understand the culture before labeling this establishment as Japanese.

We stopped by to see if they could accommodate a party of 9 (our family had been visiting Universal Studios that day) and they could! They had us seated in within 5 minutes and the food was fantastic! It was so good, we went back the following evening. Unfortunately, we live in Hawaii and we all agreed that Universal Studios was overrated (and we won't be going back), we;ll probably never have a chance to eat at Wasabi again. However, I'll remember their garlic (ribeye) steak for a long, long time!

I tried this japanese place along universal walk and turns out they have great food. There was no long wait and the place was just perfect. They also had outdoor seating but chose an indoor. We were seated by a lady host as we walked up the podium but she wasnt very pleasant when she came up. And this guy in a black suit took orders. It didnt really took that long to get our food. We had great time. 👍

Visted this place after after completing universal rides. Tried something called Ramen for the 1st time. I really liked it more like soupy noodles. Also tried Japanese dessert Mochi.
We were here during happy hours, but the waitress did nt mention that, and we came to know only at the time of payment. That was a little disappointment otherwise could have tried some more Japanese dishes.
