The Axe Lair is hands down one of the most fun and unique experiences in Downtown Upland! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, energetic, and made us feel totally comfortable—even though it was our first time throwing axes. The coaches gave clear, helpful instructions and added a lot of humor to the experience, which made it even better.
The vibe is awesome—clean space, great music, and a perfect mix of excitement and chill. Whether you're planning a date night, birthday party, or just something different to do with friends, this place is a total win. We'll definitely be back. We had so much fun here for my friend’s birthday! The atmosphere is very chill but exciting, there were different games to play, different weapons you could try, and an arcade section besides! You could also have drinks from the bar, and there was a rage room further in! Will definitely be coming back here to hang out!

We booked online and didn’t realize we picked the other location, so when we showed up they didn’t have us down. I showed my receipt and she was able to access the other location to get our info, they had room at that location so she let us stay. Everything about the experience there from when we walked in till we left was that same level of customer service. It was such a fun experience! Will defiantly be going back.

EDIT: Beers are about 6-10$/can or bottle which is pricy but it lets you drink while playing pinball.
Pre game before coming here or take a smoke break to walk around the area to avoid that cost because 8$ will get you 12 games of pinball vs. 1 beer. EDIT: Pinball costs have increased
You used to get 2$/3 games but now you only get 2$/2games on some machines. Due to this and the beer costs, I only commit 20$ to this place and spend the rest of my 40$ for the night elsewhere.
The lost star is because the pin pinball games are very quiet or extremely loud and staff cannot adjust them. Godzilla is so quiet you can't hear the announcements while the cactus pinball game drowns out all the other games. The second lost star is for increases in pinball game costs

This hidden Gem is the perfect date night. Me and my wife went and had a blast axe throwing. The atmosphere is great. The staff is nice and helpful. Recommend this place for girls or guys' night out or date night can't go wrong. I will return for more fun and action.

We had a birthday party here for my husband. He did the rage room and we reserved 2 lanes of axe throwing, as well as 2 hours of the private karaoke room. Everyone here was extremely accommodating. His party went so smooth and everyone had so much fun. We will be back!
My only negative statement is they needed more option for the rage room. The website is vague and if we hadn't brought our own stuff he wouldn't have had much to break.

I've brought groups of friends/families to the old and new locations and everyone always has a great time! The assortment of games in the axe lanes means there are options to entertain everybody. My dad used a cane and it was still accessible for him because of the stools near the lanes. The atmosphere is great and I love the pinball machines. The Axe Lair is such a fun place, I will definitely be back again and again.
