A+++ is how I'd start the review; for over 10 years, we've ordered from Claros, and I've never had the blessing to go pick up the order - it's always been family grabbing the order for us. This time, I was nearby and said I'll stop and place an order! I went in to order a platter though they were back ordered for Easter. At that time over 250+ orders where pending so they were focused on slicing meat so that they could prepare for the platters. They were nice enough to make individual sandwiches for me - despite their backlog, and as a Yelper (first check-in) you get a bonus free offer of a Soda, which I felt was a nice gesture. I was shocked at how big their storefront is; it's really a mini Italian grocery store in a sense. You'll find their salad-like bar, hot foods, bakery, and deli, along with fridges/freezers and displays of Italian goodies. If you're looking for a handmade fresh sandwich or some Italian goodies, this is the spot! I'm surprised it's taken me this long to write them a review. P.S I've also ordered their frozen homemade lasagna, and can't wait to bake that for the family!

Located in Upland, this Italian market and deli is a culinary haven for lovers of Italian cuisine. Stocked with everything needed to create authentic dishes, from imported ingredients to premade frozen meals and freshly prepared dishes like eggplant parmigiana. The market also offers a delightful selection of Italian cookies and pastries. With a friendly and helpful staff, as well as an impressive deli section featuring Italian meats and cheeses, it's no wonder this market has captured my heart.

I've been visiting Claro's since I was a child, and every holiday we come to get the good. Food is always fresh, and service is always great! Rule of thumb always go hungry

so busss the food is bombb. The sandwiches are always a go to place for a meal. Their customer service is the only thing that outdoes how wonderful the food.

First time coming here and the assortment of grocery items is extensive. You can find many selections of pastas, sauces, ingredients, doughs, etc. We purchased 2 small sandwiches, Great Grandpa Joe and Auntie Ree, both really good, made with fresh bread, freshly sliced deli meats and cheeses. The sandwiches are small, maybe about 5-6" but they are very dense and filling. We also purchased several deli meats like garlic bologna, salami, prosciutto, and a horseradish cheddar. The person helping us at the counter was nice and we were able to sample a couple of slices of salami before making our decision. I saw another reviewer who had a poor experience at the deli counter while ordering and I can certainly understand the process being daunting so I'll list out what to do here for any new comers so anyone can purchase with confidence. The ordering can be a bit confusing but we took some time to observe others and the system is that there is a ticketing machine on the left side of the deli counter, pull the lever down and you'll get a ticket. There is a ticket counter posted on the back wall behind all the slicers, so you can keep track of where you are in line. The employees will call out your number so you can shop around while you wait or peruse the deli meats and cheeses to get an idea of what you'd like to order or sample. Once it's your turn, they don't need the ticket back and please don't set it on the counter, just toss it in the trash when you're done ordering. You can list out what you'd like to the person helping you, including any sandwiches or cold items in the counter, and they'll jot this down and start slicing and weighing everything. Once your order is ready, they'll hand it to you and you need to make your way to the right side of the store where all the pastries and breads are, as this is where you'll pay. That's when you can also pay for any grocery items or order pastries and add it to your purchase. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.

I was a little inconvenienced today. I called ahead at 4:37pm on 3/21/24 to place an order of two grandpa Joe sandwiches. When I got there at 5:30pm they let me know they weren't ready yet. Their excuse was the slicer was down but they have three slicers? I am little upset because I wasted my time & gas.

Good sandwiches. The absolute worst customers. Not worth waiting unless your ticket is next. Staff is somehow even slower than the people ordering. Highly recommend if you are old and have nothing better to do for the next few years.
