Great company with great people! Would recommend to others to use their coffee and water service for your business or school!

Rip Off Warning: I have had Dependable for my company coffee service and cooler rental for over 10 years. In fact, I have spent over $30,000 with them over that time. The service has been decent, but they have tried to pass off very expired coffee, damaged cases to which I complained and they replaced. I chalked up to them not paying attention to the dates because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Then last month, I had another coffee supplier offer to come by and give me a quote on the same coffee. We use Starbucks Verona, French Roast and a Colombian. First thing I noticed was the new vendor's price on French Roast and Verona was $39.95 per case where dependable has been charging us $42.95 for Verona and $59.95 for French Roast. This $20 per French Roast case overcharging that has been going on for years amounting to thousands of dollars in gouging. I found across the board that these two coffees are always the same price. You can get the case at Walmart for $37. I have no problem with the $42.95 pricing because no one has the buying power of Walmart, but the $59.95 was just ridiculous. So, I brought in the new supplier and called to cancel my service with Dependable. 6 days later, their employee shows up to stock everything and sees a new vendors equipment in place. He was unaware that we were discontinuing service. He gave me a bill for my last cooler rental and said he would reach out again to have the equipment picked up. 8 days later, I received a call from Jay. He asked me why I discontinued service and after I explained it yet a third time, he stated it was probably just an oversight and they have issues with their computer system software that they are replacing right now. Of course at no time did anyone offer to credit back some of that oversight. He asked me, "aren't you a Chinese company" to which I replied "we are Chinese owned" and he stated that he was surprised that we were going with a Japanese company (our new vendor) for coffee service. I told him that it does not matter to me. In any event, after saying that our new vendor will probably raise the prices, he apologized for the French Roast pricing and asked that I keep them in mind for the future. I appreciated the apology and stated that I would keep them in mind, again giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was not intentional. So one day later, today, they showed up to pick up their equipment. The driver loaded it up and gave me a paper to sign and make a copy of for my records. He then hands me a bill to sign which stated a $200 cancellation fee. I refused to sign that and that sealed the deal that I will never do business with them again even if they have a better price then competitors down the road.
