First time trying Indonesian food and what a treat. The menu was well explained in the foreign names so it gave me and my family an easy way to choose our food options. I tried the combo plate special which includes most common dishes , turmeric fried chicken, rendang beef, vegetable curry, turmeric rice and sauteed tofu. We tried various items on the menu with the family and we loved it all. Service was great and we were even greeted by the chef, which she was also the owner, Stanny. She was so nice and asked us how we enjoyed the food. She even remembered all our names. We will be coming back to try more things for sure.

I love their food and the atmosphere. The price is a little over the top for the size they offer though.

The tastes of each and ever item were authentic, unique, and spices perfected. We had the banana and sweet rice and chicken filling, from the pastry window, and they were absolutely the best thing we've tasted in a very long time! What a great spot! We will be back to try their large variety of coffee and look forward to eating here again and again. As far as pricing, it's up just like everything else under the Biden administration but worth every penny of your dollars. You are getting home cooking from very nice people who took the time to introduce themselves to myself and my husband and asked us to make ourselves at home. It's not often you get such great hospitality! This is a small family owned business of which we will continue to support over corporate chains!Glad to have found it and will be back for sure!

The service and atmosphere are great, lovely staff and environment, especially under the context of a cafe. That being said, the food was just okay. The portion sizes felt very small for the price point, and the flavor just didn't taste spot on (entirely in my opinion). I think you should definitely form your opinion, though. Love to see Indonesian restaurants thrive, but think some improvement in the food can be made.

I loved Kedai Indonesian Cafe, the food is delicious and authentic. The Pastels taste exactly like my Oni used to make, all of the food and service is excellent! 10/10 I recommend trying the Pastel and Spekkook!

The sop buntut was so good and the portion was huge. It was so good I decided to also get the pempek to go and it was the best pempek I've had in LA.

I was craving Indonesian food and ran into this spot via Google maps. I ordered the beef rendang plate. The been was simmered with coconut and spices until it was nice and tender. Mixed with the fragrant coconut rice and stir fried tempeh, it made an absolutely sublime meal. I washed it down with a refreshing cendol that wasn't too sweet.Service was great and parking was easy. Really recommend the trip out here.

Really good food! Gave 4 stars because we ordered nasi goreng and paid $20 for it and got home and the portion was so small. Definitely not worth the $20 for the tiny portion. Other than that we can’t complain.

Been here multiple times at this point, food and service are still on point. If anything, they have more food selections now. They've updated the menu since, and now the menu books have pictures to help you decide which delicious food you want for the day. This place has and will always remain one of my go to places no matter where I live. I've never found any other Indonesian place that serves food as close to home as this cafe. Food, coffee, tea, sweets, all the things that really remind me of home are here.

Super cute establishment! We went here a couple months ago but I forgot to leave a review ops!Service was kind and quick. We tried the two of the pastries but I unfortunately can't remember which ones--i think it was the beef kroket and apple turnover. I do remember that both were delicious! afterwards we had Ox Tail soup and chicken rice porridge (photo), both were also great in flavor and decent portions. if we lived closer to here, we'd no doubt return :)

Delicious food; friendly service; and clean and cozy atmosphere.Food - delicious. The pandan pancakes are fluffy, yummy, and a great deal. Also tried the coffee, which was strong but smooth. The savory pastries and sauces are so savory and slightly spicy. There is also a small selection of desserts. Ambiance - intimate, clean cafe eatery. There is a display case on the counter with the savory pastries and a lower counter display case with the cakes and muffins. There are a maybe 5-6 tables you can eat at inside. No tables outside, but plenty of parking. Service - very welcoming and informative. I'm not Indonesian so I asked about some items on the menu and they were very informative. Also the food is relatively quick. Lovely customer service.Advice - order the Dutch rolls and honeycomb cakes. Yummy!!!

Note: I did not have a lot of experience with Indonesian food and can't tell how authentic it is.The chicken satay is really good (tasted like teriyaki chicken), the beef dish is a little dry thou.Overall, I would say it's on the pricy side. ($17.50 per dish)

Brings me back to Indonesia, full of flavor and authentic to the core. I love everything I ordered, made room for Cendol! Wish we had this in San Jose. Really friendly family.
