We were looking for some Chinese food for Mother's Day. We first called Bamboo Garden. Someone answered the phone and said they were closed. Okay... time to formulate a plan B. The next call was to China Pepper. They said they were out of a few things and it would be about an hour to get a to-go order ready. Szechuan Garden in Montclair is always a good choice but no one felt like driving that far. I noticed Lotus Garden on Google Maps over in nearby Upland. I had passed...
I hadn't gotten food here in a long time, but I remember liking it and I was in the area, so I ordered takeout. I got chicken fried rice, chicken chow fun, and beef broccoli and all three were good!
My parents fell in love with the food here. They drive out to Upland (20 miles from their home) whenever they are in the mood for tasty, fresh Chinese food. We often, at least, order wor wonton soup, kung pau chicken, shrimp or pork choy suey. The service is wonderful.
