on a morning drive i came across Malibu Bagel Cafe. eager to try that which my smell beckoned me to stop, indulge my taste buds. I walked in thinking about the last time I was seduced buy the smell and taste of a good freshly baked bagel and bread.
let me move along, Its 2026 and I am vowing to be honest regarding the taste of food especially when its my time and energy/ not negating the expense.
I bought a jalapeno & cheese, an onion bagel and the "sundried tomato cream cheese. the sundried tomato cheese is not good at all. upon trying it at home, toasted I was forced to add onion salt and pepper to make the cheese palatable. However, the two bagels were nice, but Vons/Pavilion is ranking #1 in bagels especially their jalapeno & Cheese.
The individual who assisted me was nice but I will not be able to ask his opinion about taste as it was his convincing of the cream cheese prompting me to buy it; sundried tomatoes who would want this tasty marinated goodness

Positive, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service that is pretty impressively quick with uncompromising quality. I tried the focaccia smoked turkey sandwich & to drink I had the espresso con panna. It was stronger than expected but very satisfying...I cheated and had them add a touch of half &half w/ dash of raw sugar. Mmm. I've also tried their boba teas before, not overly sweet but definitely full of flavor and the boba was the right texture.
It’s a great place to have a fresh bagel . They make everything fresh. Nice people and owner . Very clean. I had the everything bagel Alex helped me and was very courteous and so was the owner Ray.

NOT A LGBTQIA FRIENDLY SAFE PLACE!!!! Owner is very homophobic. He was really rude upon entering & ordering food. He was acting like he didn't want to speak to me or my partner. He was visibly upset by tapping the debit card on the register & sighing. But was friendly to the guys ahead of us. He is REALLY DISCRIMINATORY. He was pissed off with us for existing lol but yet he has "Be kind"on his tablet at the register and a lot of Bible scriptures all over the place while playing Christian music in store. The owner was obviously a lot friendlier with others who ordered ahead of us. Very nasty service. The ambience was terrible & heavily Christian. It felt very judgmental. Such a hypocritical attitude to have with us because we've been here plenty of times & every time I stopped by I was giving them a chance & my money. I was hoping to not have this horrible experience due to their religious beliefs but it never fails. Christian's always have this holier than thou attitude.
We will not be coming back & I really hope you rethink your attitude & how you treat people who are different than you. Again Not LGBTQIA+ friendly or a safe place for us.
