The Cakewalk Cake and Candy Supplies

Walked and I was told I needed a membership, they barley had any supplies. They didn’t even have unique items, why would I pay for a membership? What a scam! Go to Suzy’s down the street. They have what seems to be more stock in hand. This place is ridiculous.

We pay a membership and for what? Half the time they’re out of stock on many things..for sure this is the last year I’m with them

Very unprofessional I called them at 4pm no one cared to answer the phone!!! So I decided to go to the location which closes at 6 p.m. I got there between 5:20 and 5:30 they're open sign was already turned off and one of their Associates seen I was at the door and did not care to open it or explain why they were closed already at 5:30 not 6pm as advertise on their door and web page

not worth the membership. their edible ink printer is unreliable. they’re closed but doesn’t say when they will be reopening. their pricing is confusing.

Do yourself a favor and please go else where . There are a lot of other cake supply stores with much better quality items, better prices, great customer service, and you won't need a Costco style membership to shop ?. Oh and is the person who replies to these reviews like 12? It really shows their professionalism ?‍♀️ .

They are always out of stock

I’ve given up on this place. They just make it too difficult to shop here. ‘Memberships’ that aren’t easily renewed, expensive otherwise and poor quality product. I found Suzy’s Sweet Tooth less than a mile away. Much nicer, less expensive, owner on site, fresher product. Beyond that they were showing inappropriate content on the TV. I gave them a shot though!

I love supporting local businesses, but this place wouldn't allow me to do so without a $40 annual membership. What the heck?? That is unheard of! I had to take my business across the atreet to Michael's. That was a d*** move on the owners part to convert to membership! You are NOT costco!

ok I hate giving this place a bad review. I used to LOVE shopping here, the quality was like no other. Now why they change so much who knows??? Their buttercream used to be the best and you could by several different sizes. Now you have to buy a tub, a huge tub, the size of a Home Depot orange bucket! Everything is overpriced and the girls there are so cold. I used to walk in and they knew me by name, now I dont even get a hello when I walk thru the door. Their pricing is wonky too.... no matter how they put it I feel ripped off. I hoped for better but no one listens. Hlaf the things I need they say : oh we are out, and really I believe they have no interntion of carrying it again, Stop the lies. I'm out.

This place is a scam!! They charge a membership to shop with them !! Lol what in the world! Don’t come here!!!

This store is a total joke, and now they have found a way to manipulate the system and their prices. I’ve had a lilac card 4+ years and loved the discounts that came with it 50% off my total purchase. Wished I would’ve read the recent reviews! Now you either have to be a lilac member or pay $10 to shop there. I renewed my card as I normally do, they explained same 50% off, well complete lies. They now claim everything is already marked 40-70% off, so when you go checkout there’s no discount. There’s nothing in the store that reads this new pathetic policy. The prices are the same if not higher than before and to top it off they’re always out of stuff. They had different color and sized cake boards now they only have white in limited sizing, their edible images are super low quality & faded. I hope they enjoy the free money I payed for my “lilac” a.k.a SCAM I won’t be coming back and I’ll be sure to spread the word so other people don’t get played.But all this truly reflects on the owner, he’s childish, petty and highly unprofessional.

If 0 stars were an option that's what they would get. First off you have to purchase a 1-day membership or year membership to shop here which is not the issue l. The issue was they mentioned that you would get a discount on everything in the store. However this was a lie items that were marked (some not all) they said there is no discount on them due to the fact they decided to go ahead and already mark them down. NO signs or verbiage anywhere. Same price tags that were on everything else and when brought that up they were extremely rude. Use to love taking my daughter here to get her supplies but never again. Place was also filthy for being a baking/food store. Quality seems to be going downhill as well

(COOKIE PLUG)These cookies are off the hook. Bomb. You could even buy there cookie dough n get baked from home. ?

Everytime I go the Montclair facility is low on supplies and have to go to other shops to find what Montclair store is lacking and not please with new management and staff.I am going to start taking my business elsewhere.
