I live closer to the Rancho one but I think the quality here is better. My go to items are chili fries with tomatoes and pickles added, wet fries, or the pastrami. Foods good, Fast service, consistent, and open late what more could you ask for.

The Pastrami Dip here never disappoints, plus I love that they have Orange Bang and Piña Colada Bang refills.Pro Tip: Try their Grilled Cheese with Pastrami! It's not on the menu, but so good!

The old woman on Friday night of 3/29/24. Time was 12:00 am -12:14am. Working drive-tru, Hispanic accent, bright red lipstick.- I can’t believe you wouldn’t do a refill for 75 cents. With no line behind us. And roll your eyes again lady. You don’t know what ppl are going through in their lives. Even for a refill. She said inside only. And i was gonna to get off, but it began raining. This was my second time here. And both times were not convincing customers satisfaction.be happy with your job/life grateful.

The Hat in Upland is a beloved local eatery renowned for its generous portions and classic American fare, particularly its pastrami sandwiches. Visitors rave about the vast servings of pastrami, often highlighting it as some of the best on the West Coast, even if it's distinctly different from its New York City counterpart. The restaurant's ambiance is casual, reminiscent of diner/fast food settings, which adds to its charm. The menu is comprehensive, offering a variety of sandwiches, burgers, onion rings, and notably, their chili cheese fries with pastrami. Despite its no-frills environment, The Hat's focus on quality food and substantial portions has earned it high praise. However, some may find the lack of a beer/wine license a downside, especially those who enjoy pairing their pastrami with a cold beer. It's a go-to spot for a quick, satisfying meal, recognized for both its value and the fast, efficient service. Whether it's for a solo meal or a feast with friends, The Hat offers a quintessential fast-food experience with a focus on hearty, flavorful sandwiches.

Couldn't give it 5 stars today. Cheeseburger was money, but the pastrami sandwich wasn't all that. The pastrami was good, but the bread was kind of dry. The bread / bun is half the sandwhich.

My wife and I were in the area on errands on picked up some takeout for ourselves and two contractors installing a quartz counter top at our home. The food was messy good as any we have ever bought at the Hat. Always great as were the sides. Workers sure loved the pastrami and said they had never been to the Hat before. So a good experience. Now, this is not a negative comment, but I do want to say that despite our cheriness the counter people near opening were just as flat and disinterested as could be. This is becoming a common occurrence at many venues and is more a comment on the younger generation work ethic and attitude that has got to change. Yes they minimally did their job but the whole visit was run down.
