This is a very homey and warm little Deli, specializing in German food and condiments. And like all deli's, they prepare all kinds of sandwiches, soups, and salads. I recently had their Corned Beef Reuben and it was superb. Great flavor and made expertly. The couple that run the place were both very pleasant. All in all, a very satisfying and delicious experience!

Ran in to grab a couple of pastries. Tried the peach boat it was very good. Tried the raspberry one, I believe she called it a log, it was good but definitely not as good as the peach. We will definitely go back to try more.

I am a native German that began shopping here in 1986. It brings a bit of home closer when I am homesick. I visit a few times a year and always enjoy my Veal bratwurst, potato salad and sauer Kraut! I usually will also indulge in a Linzer cookie! The food is always fresh and flavorful. On some occasions, I also buy grocery products if I know I am planning to make a German dinner like Sauerbraten. Their Knorr mix selection is big. If you are studying German or know how to read it, there are plenty of magazines and crosswords to purchase too.

Ordered 2 hot sandwiches- the Yorkshire dip and the Reuben, along with sauerkraut and German potato salad. I’m not sure which sandwich I liked better! Both were really good. The sauerkraut was so yummy, I wish I would have ordered more. I wouldn’t recommend the potato salad though, it was bland but it does taste like potatoes. Some people like it bland like that, I just don’t prefer it. I look forward to trying the spatzel when they have it! Overall, it was pretty good and I’ll be back soon.

The food on the shelf was expired, and the prepared food was Polish, not German, and to be honest I thought it was overpriced for what you got. The owner was somewhat pleasant when she took the time to help me. She was on the phone and had me wait for around 15 minutes. I was just about to leave but decided to give them my business because she claimed to know the old German woman that I was buying the meal for.... turns out I was at the wrong deli, and she didn't know her at all. Well... I guess you'll say whatever you gotta say to make your customers happy.... or just to have customers for that matter. ?

Excellent pastries! Apple Strudel is amazing and not too sweet. Hungarian dad loves all the pastries!

TL;DR: Wanted to love this place, but didn't. Giving it a meh+Did a mini-roadtrip to try this place after it did several laps in my "want to go" list. It's in a nondescript strip mall location, which is fine with me, many great places are.Inside, it's reminiscent of a few other European delis like Globe Deli in Costa Mesa and Mattern in Orange. The selection of groceries and other goods was on the slimmer side here compared to a bigger place like the German Deli at Old World in Huntington Beach.I'm all about supporting small businesses, and this one looks like it's owned and operated by a family, I was helped by a woman who very well could be an owner.Ordered a trio of sandwiches and a side of order of the house potato salad to go (everything is to go right now, there is no inside dining). The sandwiches, priced around $7-8, are firmly on the less expensive side of things compared to the other places I've mentioned, where the sandwiches are $10-12.Got everything home and shared it with the family. The sandwiches were good, if not memorable. The portions were on the smaller side compared to the competition, but admittedly cheaper. None of us loved the potato salad, although it was better than some I've had (I generally don't care for the heavy mayonnaise-based salads). It just didn't have the tang I like, instead being fairly plain except for pepper. All told, I likely won't make the drive again. I would choose the Continental Delicatessen in La Habra, Mattern Sausage & Deli in Orange, or the German Deli at Old World in Huntington Beach before coming back. All of those are priced higher, but offer a larger selection, a better vibe, and a more enjoyable meal.
