There has never been anything at BackDoor we havent absolutely loved. The ambiance is great and the menu selection adds a certain culinary flare that Vacaville doesnt have a lot of.

I found this restaurant not as good as it used to be. Before they changed locations,it was great. Great food and changing menu. Now it seems OK .

Serving staff seemed stressed lacking attention to the needs of their guests. Courtesy or kindness nor appreciation of our business was not offered. Menu items were not deliver on time or not at all. Food dishes lacked flavor. Pay big prices but low budget delivery of dining experience.

What a little gem in Vacaville. I love the farm to table mentality. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! I love how they paired their wines to their food! Each complimented the dishes well! I started with the oysters on a half shell which normally I would not get! They were so fresh and the sauce just made them pop! Next I had the whipped feta and beat salad and that was perfectly balanced with flavors! The brut sparkling I had went well with both! For my main course I had the braised short rib stroganoff with the reserve Merlot and wow it all melted in my mouth! The flavors were superb! For dessert I couldn't choose between the decadent chocolate cake with my home town Humboldt creamy ice-cream or the berry lemon cheese cake so I got both! I enjoyed a glass of Malbec with them and it was a great finish! I think the berries on the lemon cheese cake would be delicious with even the chocolate cake! The waiter was cordial and carried himself well! It was such a treat to find this place! I will def return and bring people when I visit the area again! Thanks for a memorable night even if I was a solo diner!

Unfortunately, they were out of Salmon so I couldn't have that, then the salmon cakes were also out. We ordered the beet salad it was very little salad -arugula there was very little on it in order to have a salad. I don't know if it was just a fluke. I've had the salad three times so far and two of the three there of been less than I believe there should be on it.

This was my first time dining at this location. It was phenomenal. As I sat there I thought "what a gem". The service was excellent. The food was exceptional. Wonderful dining experience.

The biggest disappointment was that it was too loud in the restaurant, we could not have a decent conversation. After we finished our meal, we sat outside so that we could visit with each other. The service was good and we would be willing to give the restaurant another try.

Went on a special holiday and couldn't be more happier. From our wait staff to the chef/owner, everything was top notch! Food was a five course and was pleased with each dish. Unique and tasty. Not 1 complaint! Heard they're brunch is very good too. Will be our next visit....

Second time there. The first time they were out of the chocolate cake; second time the fritters. Soup came out lukewarm; sent it back then came out piping hot. Overall though, nice experience. A little pricy but will return and will recommend. Nice ambiance.

We had a delightful dinner on the patio. Warm heaters kept it comfortable and reduced the indoor noise. Our server Joe was amazing. Loved our warmed olives and fried polenta appetizer. My wife had the burger which is always a “go to” favorite. My flat iron rib eye was excellent. The apple fritters are the best dessert. Must leave room for them! Hats off to Chef Lindsay and the team.

Very happy we went to Backdoor Bistro! Food was amazing, the servers were very polite and attentive, the restaurant was decorated and super cute, and at dinner service they dimmed the lights to create a gorgeous atmosphere. I will definitely be going back and have already recommended this place to many people. I am just sad I didn't try this restaurant sooner.

Delicious food the equal of any high end Sonoma restaurant, which is no surprise given the chef who owns and oversees it. The food and service are always excellent. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant in Vacaville.
