Me and my family went here for my grandpa's birthday dinner the food was good but It took 2 hours just to eat our food which didn't make any sense my grandma only got her food first and the rest of us kept on waiting the service was terrible I wont be back????

Great food, service and drinks. We had the pork belly and scallops to start. Delicious. Entrees were the fillet with shrimp and the lamb chops. Fantastic and a perfect medium rare. Drinks and bar service were also on point, really good stuff here. Highly recommended.

So Francesca just gave me the idea to leave a review here! Long story short I accidentally ordered something from the restaurant called a small Mäksē Restaurant hat costing $30. My mistake totally. I paid for it but I didn’t receive it before leaving the restaurant.I called the next day notifying the restaurant of the mistake and asked for my money back. I spoke with the manager Francesca but she was too busy to talk with me to explain what to do. So she told the hostess to get my name and phone number. But this was after Francesca and I had already spoke. I don’t know why Francesca did not want to continue the conversation.I also emailed the business telling them that Francesca was too busy to speak with me, but I would like a refundI was told it was my mistake and that I have to come back to Vacaville to get my credit. I said, how can it be my mistake if you never gave me the hat? I also live in Walnut Creek and it’s not convenient for me to come to Vacaville, so please just credit it online.The next day, Francesca called me and said she did not like the review I left her on Yelp. You can see it there if you’d like to see it.She again told me I had to come down to the restaurant, and I told her it was not convenient.All I wanted was my money back for something I did not receive , and they were trying to make me come to the restaurant to get it.She became very condescending with me not letting me talk to explain my frustration and confusion with the restaurantShe finally said she would credit me for the hat. And I said that’s all I’ve ever wanted. Please just do the right thing by your customers. She then hung up on me. My ribeye steak went back twice the third steak I Choked on it because there was so much Gristle and fat and raw my airway was completely blocked thought I would die needless to say I did not eat anything after clearing my airway It was a horrific experience.1-13-24 I would give a 0 rating if I could

My wife and I wanted to try this restaurant, it's our wedding anniversary. After reading not so great reviews, we still decided to try it. Sorry to say it was very disappointing. Like one other person commented, for the prices, it is not great service or great food. My wife ordered the Beet salad and had no vinigrete. We mentioned to the waitress, and she responded in a rude way that the vinegrete was on the salad, but she could get us some more. We ordered the pesto chicken and was told they were out of pesto.We ordered some garlic bread, and the bread came burnt. We mentioned to the waitress, and she said she could bring more. The next bread came ok, but unfortunately, it was too late.I don't believe we will be returning to this restaurant.

Best restaurant I've been to here in California. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was great. Very comfortable! One of my favorite places to go now.
VERY overpriced for the quality of food. 1 server for the whole restaurant who was also the bartender! Terribly understaffed. Host didn't even know how seat people! Obviously the owners don't care...they read the reviews, but only responds to a good review.I will never come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Don't try it!P.S. they have things on the menu that they actually don't serve! Backed Alaska for instance.We never got to order an entree! 2 salads & 2 cocktails were over 78.00!

After moving to Vacaville a few years back we have been on the hunt for our next fav restaurant. Unfortunately, this isn’t it. We made reservations for 6pm on a Friday. After arriving we stood at the front counter and were not greeted for a bit. Once we were sat down we waited far too long for someone to come to the table. By the time she did we were ready for food and drinks. We ordered NY steak and chicken Parmesan. The food took a bit and when it arrived we were super disappointed in the prep. The steak was $50 and we didn’t eat 1/3 of it. Tough and no flavor. The chicken was overcooked and tough too. The spaghetti was the best part !The poor wait staff was spread way too thin and we didn’t see our waitress till I got up and found her to ask for the bill and a doggy bag (literally fed my dog a $50 steak last night) She expressed her concern and mentioned 5 people called off work. She took 10% off the steak but we still paid over $100 for a dinner and experience I would not return for. We are bummed! Still looking for the elusive Vacaville restaurant we can call our favorite…

I see now why it was empty…The restaurant was empty with the exception of one other party and yet the staff got almost everything wrong with our order. Drink orders were messed up. Steaks were cooked incorrectly and sent to the wrong people. Appetizers weren’t available. Prices were exorbitant.
The waitress/greeter was helpful and put our order in before they were officially open. We shared a chocolate lava cake as a snack. The outside was nice & slightly crusty but overall it was only lukewarm and the "lava" was only partially melted. Definitely not worth the $12 pricetag. The whole place is now painted dark brown, too dark for our taste.
