Generally do bagel toasted with a smear of lox spread or cream cheese spread.
Downside is that it's a community staple and is always packed when I go. Mainly due to its layout and how folks have to line up.
Only other issue is that there's terrible ventilation due to being 20 years overdue for a renovation. BUT this dive IS worth visiting - great selection of bagels, great breakfast and sandwich options, take away options, and ample seating indoors or outdoors.

I go here often and I have never had a bad experience . The staff is always great and the bagels are always so good š try a smoothie while you're there you won't be disappointed .

If you're going to get a breakfast sandwich/ bagel this is the place to go. First off I want to say I hadn't had great costumer service in a while like forreal it's a huge pet peeve of mine but today changed that. Alyssa took my order today she had a warm welcoming approach even when there's chaos of the amount of ppl that was in there she's beautiful she up saled me with a drink to add to my order from one of her suggestions that's I've been meaning to try. She was great gave me a genuine compliment it really made my day when the reason why I came here was because I was having a rough day so I treated myself to my fav. Lol I hope she's giving the recognition she deserves. And there should be a tip option there if I had cash on me her service was worth a $20 tip Alyssa if you see this thank you I really appreciate you turning my mood around.

The backbone of breakfast in SCV. I've lived on the east coast and have been to many bagel shops in New York and this right here is still by far the best bagel I've ever had. Friendly service and great hours for those of us who have to get on the road early.

Finally tried this place. Had the lox on a jalapeƱo bagel and it was big. It came with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, fresh salmon, lettuce, and capers. It was very good but could use more seasoning (salt and pepper). Served on both sides and packaged well.
As you see, it didnāt make it home?
It was good but overpriced.

If you want an American breakfast, this is the ideal place.
The girls that took our order really Listen! We ordered 3 bagels toasted dark and they were delicious. Jose had a pumper nickel bagel with butter and Steve onion and I had a sesame. The workers are friendly and we would come back when in the area. I only wish Western Bagel came to Bakersfield!

Iām standing in front of the register to pay for a drink. The employees are rude, ignoring me and on top of that making rude faces. Customer service is really bad. Talk to your employees because no one is coming to beg anything for free. I have no need to come back to this place ever again. No there was no people in line. So it was not a busy day. 6 employees just wondering around.

Attending on a Sunday at mid-morning, there can be 10 people in a row but it's very fast. Excellent product, the Turkey sandwich is my recommendation, made every morning. Good Cafe, the best service in Douglas. It was my first time and I have to repeat it to try new flavors. I will be back soon.
