Better Chew Kitchen - Vallejo

This place was outstanding. We came through headed to SFO airport and looking for a nice filling vegan lunch before our flights. The mob plate was so good - we each got a different fake meat (I got spicy chicken and my colleague got rib tips) and let me just say. Truly wow. Wish I lived close enough to enjoy this food all the time, but instead I’ll have to rent a car next time I fly into San Francisco just to come out to Vallejo for a delicious meal!

Merging with Vegan Mob only made it super good. Even before the merge this place was the bomb. But for us moving from Oakland to Vallejo right when Vegan Mob in Oakland closed, the transition of us moving and running to Better Chew was food porn at its finest.

The greens were way too salty, but the Smacaroni more than made up for it. Delicious!

Chicken sandwich was fireworks in my mouth, fries was a bummer (kiddie size, frozen potatoes, ol school creole seasoning. 🤫 smh.

The true star is Tasha's Slaw...it slays!!!!!

Just give us a Vegan Mob size portion for our money please...truly hoping for some links n Brussels soon.

Vegan mob has the best vegan comfort soul food. Ordered the mob plate and it did not disappoint. Service was outstanding!!!

The vegan food is bussin! Staff is very friendly and helpful! I got the mob combo plate with chicken, brisket, and shrimp and 4 sides. Everything was very flavorful. Worth the trip out to Vallejo, I will definitely be back!

I loved The Veg Hub in Oakland, and once they closed there was a sandwich-sized hole in my heart that Better Chew has now filled. My only complaint is the inconsistency of when they're open. Currently it's the second time since they opened that they're now closed for an extended period, and I would prefer to give them my business than somewhere like Next Level Burger

Thought I was getting a spicy chicken sandwich. But it was with the ranch/cheese dressing poured all over it. Couldn't eat it as I don't like food doused in sauces. Took 2 bites and threw it away. It had so much sauce on it I couldn't find the vegan meat. For someone who likes that kind of eating I guess it would be good but not for me, a waste of 13$$. I did eat my fries.

Perfect spot for some hungover or stoned food, or if you're like me just looking for a good vegan option while in the bay area. I had the loaded fries and Philly cheese steak, absolutely delicious.

Food is OK, needs a little more work. It's a new spot. I had the rib eye sandwich with a side salad and some fries. The fries are over cooked, the salad was molded unfortunately, and the sandwich was ok. It was stuff inside, perhaps outside sitting would be better?

Got the Philly cheesesteak and a side of Garlic Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. I usually hate minced garlic, but whatever other spices they used with it made it taste good. The cheesesteak was also good, but I asked for mushrooms to be added and they were still cold. I would return because I’d like to try their chicken and I want to order those Brussel sprouts again.

First time visitors. The French fries are delicious. The staff, engaging. Hence the two stars. We went April 25th.We both ordered the cheesesteak, on recommendation. Friend had regular, I had the 'premium cut' one. The cheesesteaks were BIG(I only finished about a third of mine, friend finshed half). Full of 'meat', flavorful. Especially since it's vegan. The problem came about 15 mins after I started eating. Worst bloat ever. Stomach felt full of Bubbly rocks. About an hour after that.. Dumping Syndrome (the Bubble guts, but from both ends! Simultaneously!) I stayed on the toilet with a plastic bag, throughout the night, into the next day.

Now, HERE is why the get two stars. The fries SAVED them from ZERO. I could NEVER reach anyone by phone to ask what they fabricate their 'meat' from. No answer. No RING. Straight to 'the person you have called...' I'm NOT driving back across the bridge ($7), JUST to find out what it was that made me SICK like that. I really wanted to be able to support. Oh well
