Good food. Service was ok. A little slow given that the restaurant was empty.
The food and service were above my expectations. We really liked the atmosphere of this place. Fantastic spot to take my family out for dinner.
As always, the filet mignon was the star of the show. We like ours cooked medium well and they always adhere to our order. The sides were also excellent, I branched out and tried the scalloped potatoes and upgraded my salad to a wedge. Imitation bacon bits get the thumbs down but the blue cheese dressing and crisp iceberg lettuce were awesome. My dining companions were not thrilled that the garden salad is now spring mix instead of leaf lettuces. But again, we go to Black Angus for the meat and it did not disappoint!
Been there a few times and never disappointed. We had steak and lobster as it was a special. The steak was medium rare as ordered and the lobster was maybe a 4 oz tail but was a good value. Our server was excellent and always makng sure to check on us for any needs. I enjoyed their steak soup as I always do.....
great service awesome food decent price
food was an 8 but service was a 6 . in all a decent meal.
The BA in Pleasant Hill was our preferred location & it is now closed. The Vallejo location was the next closest so picked that one. The Pleasant Hill location was a classy place. Felt like I was eating at a nice steakhouse. The Vallejo location was like eating at an Applebee's, which I could've gone to without paying a bridge toll. The food & our server were good. Only complaint is all 3 of us ordered coffee & each time we asked for a refill, they took our cups away to refill & 1 time they forgot to bring it back. Also, had to keep asking for refills. It was never offered. Would have rather they brought a carafe to the table. Otherwise, everything was fine but will probably not return.
It took over an hour and 20min to get our food, Really under staff. I believe is time for a new management.
We got ribeye steak and lobster. Lobster and steak cooked to perfection. Our waitress was prompt and continued to check on us throughout our meal.
Our server, Riki, was lovely! We were celebrating my BD. Our order got mixed up, we ended up waiting a bit longer. My prime rib was a perfect rare!
Restaurantji Recommends
Food is delicious and staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Long two hour wait in between appetizer and main course. Total time spent on dinner was 3 hours and we didn't even have dessert.
I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are tasty and the stuff is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a delightful evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
Usually we have great service and food tonight was the Exception filet was tough and overdone plates were hot like they had been under heat lamps for awhile. Service was horrible we had to ask for our check 4 times we had finished our meal at least 45 min prior. Then we waited another 20 min for waiter who never showed to take our payment finally we had to take it up front and ask for someone to ring us up. We almost left without paying. We were told oh your waiter had a large party while there were 2 hostesses manager and a waiter standing up front chatting. We are regulars but tonight has us rethinking our restaurant choices.
They messed up our orders. My sons food was missing potatoes and the butter topping on the steak. My lobsters and potatoe were cold and had to go back and by the time I got my food, everyone else were finished with their meal. The servers were nice, but it was a special occasion and it was ruined.
