Ok so, I’ve been looking for some good bbq in Vallejo for a while. Someone else recommended CJ’s. Thank you to that person! The food is GOOD! When I tell you the ribs are cooked and smoked to perfection! They were so good! My family and I ordered ribs, links, potato salad, cabbage, baked Mac and cheese and corn bread. I wanted to post pictures but it slipped my mind because I was grubbing lol.. But yes I definitely would recommend them if you’re looking for some GOOD bbq. Also the customer’s service is on point as well. Nice family. Thank you CJ’s see you next time!

I first read all the negative comments in here, then I went in to get a meal. My mind was blown, food was amazing. Service was friendly. I think their competition paid people to write those negative comments. Their mild bbq sauce was on point. Ribs were perfect. I strongly recommend this place for anyone who is not a Vegan. I will definitely be coming back for more.

This was the absolute worst barbecue I have ever had in my entire life. This is my honest review. This food made me sick and ruined my otherwise fantastic day ?????The expired meat was in a soup of low quality, disgusting BBQ sauce. The off-brand barbecue sauce you can buy at Walmart is better quality.The potato salad was nigh inedible. The greens were so bitter I literally spat them out onto the ground in horror.The fries that she said she made fresh for us were soggy as if they'd been left on the counter and microwaved in haste and then doused in the sink with dirty water.The cornbread was the only edible thing.0/5 stars

They get a two. Used to be hella good. Like for reals, best in California. But all types of bad now. They only smoke once a week. So after that your food is what was left. Sides are extra small. Beans are under cooked. And prices are too high. I'ma have to pass on this from now

I have eaten here for a few years. Ribs are always good, no matter what sauce u choose. The quantity has gotten shorter though and prices ($30 - 2 way) are up. Coleslaw is ok and they need work on their beans. My beans were crunchy today....wth...I would only get ribs if I went back as prices are too high now, cash only, and the beans really messed me up with how crunchy they were. So sorry, won't be back.

One of my favorite BBQ spots. I finally got to the Mac N Cheese before they sold out,it smackz just like everything else GOD. I drove 50+ miles for it.
Pulled off the highway because we were starving, at first all we saw in town was a Jack in The Box and a Popeyes but luckily kept looking and found CJ's! Everyone was so nice and the food was SO good. We shared a 2-meat combo with 2 sides; ribs, chicken, Mac salad, and potato salad and then got some hush puppies. We went with hot sauce and it had a kick but was still flavorful. If I'm ever back out this way I will definitely come here again!
