Wow! Great chicken! Try the oxtails! The owner was a perfect gentleman.
Soulful, tasteful, and simply filling! Chef D and his Wife truly provide an amazing experience. You can taste and see the spices/herbs. The catfish cornmeal breading was cooked/seasoned as if your southern grandmother deep fried it! The same compliment is authored for the chicken wings. The taste took me back to deep fried chicken served after church service! Lastly, those sides!! Packed with flavor, spoonful after spoonful! I shall return! Thank you!
Mac n cheese was good,,,Fish was good!! Shrimp Po boy was good,,,But they need to do something about their french fries!!!!But other than that it's good and I will try again ?
I normally pick my chicken when I eat it. However, I cleared everything off my chicken. The Mac n cheese is cheesy good.
Not only was the service and hospitality above and beyond, but the food was phenomenal. Chef D and his nephew provided the best service. I got the catfish nuggets and my husband got the jambalaya. Soooooo amazing!!!! I wish they'd come to Oregon.
Amazing. Probably one of the most authentic southern style soul food you can get in Northern California. All of the sides where done right! My favorite dish has to be their fried oysters but all their other plates are great as well.
Forgot to take a picture of all the deliciousness. First time ordering today and everything was done perfect. Oysters were cook perfect super delicious, the basa so flavorful and the chicken seasoned and fried just right. The sides we had was yams super yummy green delicious and smoked, potatoe salad very picky about my potatoes salad but I will definitely get them from Chef D again and the mac and cheese really good. If you want a meal that will fill you up, taste delicious and have some left over definitely try Chef D by the Bay!
Amazing food and even better service. I drive about 30 mins at least once a month to come to vallejo for the shrimp and whiting poboys
Amazing. Would definitely be back. Not to salty seasoned just right. Bomb sides!

I wanted Mink to experience eating Korean BBQ in Korea Town in LA so I gave her three options based off Yelps most reviewed restaurants in the area. She picked Kang Ho-Dong Baekjeong based off photos. We got to where they were located and found a large parking stall right away. This is a relatively small lot so if there isn't any open stalls, you can valet here.We went to the entrance and waited for a hostess as instructed. Someone came out momentarily and asked if our entire party was here. They don't seat unless the entire party is present. She said to give them a few minutes and to wait on the side. It took less than 5 minutes to get seated. When we got in, we noticed all their posters on the wall. This is a franchise and we're pretty sure it's the same as 678/Sura in Hawaii.
Great food & great service each & every time I indulge. Thanks!
Nice sammich.
I got the shrimp basket, it came with fries and hush puppies. It was hot and fresh and worth the price it was like $15 I wish it came with 2 more hush puppies though for the price.... Great customer service and they take Apple Pay
Ordered the deep fried oysters dinner plate. Right off the bat when food was brought out to us it smelled really fishy in a bad way . When I opened my container of food the smell was bad from the oysters as if they were old . I tried a bite and the inside was really mushy. I couldn’t eat anymore . I love oysters and I have never had them served to me smelling so bad and paying $18 for a plate of this and 2 sides was definitely not worth it . I will never come back here again.
