Edit to say food was 50 bucks for 2 plates and beverages …I’m really confused by many reviews here I’m guessing ppl tried it before the “ new “ cook got there recently ? I’ll start with the good : our host / server was AMAZING pleasant and made me a beautiful cocktail in truth that was the best thing I had … the cook on the other hand ? Thumbs down
Fried fish : fresh but salty and maybe 2nd best to the dinner mint …way too much pepper
Fried shrimp - salty and too much pepper
Chicken wings : laughable joke zero seasoned g never seen fried chicken that light in color
Greens : spicy no smoke flavor
Red beans and rice - zero smoke or flavor
Lemongrass salmon : way too much soy sauce in glaze cooked too hard
Salad : didn’t look too fresh
I felt horrible about disliking everything here but the drinks and keylime mints given after meal because again host / server amazing great personality and tbh I don’t think she deserves to have to work somewhere where the food is beyond bland and basic … did I mention it took an hour for us to be served .. chef told her to tell us the fryer wasn’t working … I think you guys should get a new chef the menu items are what brought us in great meal choices poorly executed

Best case of mistaken identity ever!
I walked in mistaking it for Vallejo Brewing Company right after they closed for the night, but the menu was so enticing I had to come back during business hours!
The red beans and rice with Cajun shrimp is an INSTANT comfort food go-to, and not to start drama, but a certain barbecue place on the block could learn a thing or two about making amazing cornbread from this chef! The perfect, fresh baked, sweet and buttery portion of cornbread I've had since my mom's recipe.
The $7 cocktail special was also amazing, not too powerful but not so watered down you couldn't feel it!
The gal working the counter was sweet as can be both times I've been in as well.
I can't wait to bring everyone I know here!

I’m thrilled to support this business!
The quality of the ingredients, the depth of flavor, and the affordability are all outstanding. I ordered the lunch special: lemongrass chicken with stir-fry veggies, and it exceeded my expectations. The aroma was incredible, and the presentation was impressive. I took a moment to appreciate the beautiful plating before diving in, and each bite was just as delightful as the last.
What stood out even more was the generosity and kindness of the staff. It’s wonderful to find a place that excels in every aspect, earning a solid 5/5 rating in my book. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying more items on the menu!
BONUS: They also offer a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options, and I loved that they use Himalayan salt!

Urban Fusion has consistently exceeded my expectations with its unique blend of flavors and impeccable presentation. I have had the pleasure of dining there on three separate occasions. From the moment one steps in, the trendy ambiance sets the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The menu offers a creative fusion of various cuisines, with each dish carefully crafted to perfection.
The citrus salmon burst with savory flavors that instantly captivated my taste buds. The urban beans and rice were a work of art, beautifully arranged and incredibly fresh. The highlight of my experience was the yellow curry, which had a perfect balance of spices and sweetness, leaving me craving for more.
While there were some delays in the food service, the attentive and courteous service added to the overall enjoyment of the evening, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Urban Fusion truly delivered a memorable dining experience, and I eagerly anticipate returning to explore more of their enticing menu offerings.

My wife and I had dinner here. I had the pork belly and she had the lemongrass salmon. My food was super tasty, but my wife's was amazing.
Staff was friendly and we're looking forward to eating here again.

Wonderful little space!! I had fried fish collard greens and sampled a mango rice!! Then some yams!! Sooo good!!! Will be back!!
Kid-friendliness: Very sweet staff, great communication I would not bring a lot of children as the spot is small but they are super family oriented.

Not for me but they have a regular clientele that seemed to love it. Nice warm atmosphere though

I ordered the smashed avo on toast and paid extra to add two poached eggs. Pretty disappointed that without the additional cost of the eggs it costs $22 for one piece of toast with avo…… haven’t been here for months and I love the portion sizes and food but shocked at this portion and cost for one piece of toast……… eggs were perfect cooked but more toast would’ve been great.

We ordered the tacos, salad, and winegarita. Tacos were good but the salad was highly disappointing- the lettuce was welted like it was old. They did not offer a refund or credit towards another item when I shared my feedback.
I had the lava cake and ice cream, it was absolutely delicious HOWEVER, these cakes ARE NOT baked fresh daily. They’re store bought frozen, then baked. They’re not baking cakes from scratch like our Grandma used to do, but they’re decent :-)
Service was good and the ladies were super nice. Atmosphere is welcoming!!

Please support black owned businesses in Vallejo. The owners are affable and knowledgeable about food cuisine. The types of foods are an electic mix of Caribbean, California, and Mexico. The food is fresh and authentic and full of flavor. I would savory every bit of morsel in my mouth as my sense of taste created a picturesque feeling of a bit of heavenly goodness. The restaurant has a warm an inviting atmosphere. You can have a cocktail nestled by the fireplace looking out the window gazing at the artistic views of downtown. The chef is exciting and innovative and is always creating another masterpiece. This place reminds me of cocinas I have visited during my visit to Mexico and Cuba. Next time you are out and want to try a new restaurant, then go ahead and give this place a visit.

Decor is creative, sophisticated design sense but on a right budget. Service is rustic, the owner waited on us. Very wasn't but not a polished pro. Food was very good, I had a burrito and my wife had the tacos. Both were excellent. The beans were really tasty. They serve organic local honey with the tea, a nice touch.

The food was delicious. The service was efficient and fast. The environment was fantastic. Ideal place for a high quality meal with a soulful atmosphere all at a reasonable cost.
