Terrible and expensive
Update...we went January 5th much better experience.
I go here all the time but this visit was the worst. So many rides were closed. There were no animal shows which made the ride lines long. The app did not update the wait time appropriately. The water ride said 20 mins. We waited over an hour. Then just as we were about to get on the ride shut down and we had to leave. They gave us a fast pass for a ride but there was only 30 mins until the park closed and they didn't want to accept our fast pass. So we lost the last 2 hours not being able to ride rides. Just waiting. The food ordering w the one meal dining deal was rough. I guess they had a new system and it took each employee at 3 seperate food stops over 5 mins just to order a meal and drink. It was ridiculous! Sucks because I took my daughter's friends and it was their first time there and they only got to ride 3 rides between all the lines for food and rides and we got there as soon as they opened and stayed until closing
We went on off season and there was just a lack of rides and a lack of animals. Trash found in the park. We enjoyed what we did but will stick to seasonal days.
Park is nice, staff is very friendly. It seems Medusa and the flash were down indefinitely.
I will not as a larger person I would wish there were some seats with plus sized people in mind.
They are nice about giving flash passes if you can't be accommodated.
Maintenance is an issue, I actually got stuck and could not get off of wonder woman until a tech was there. we only got about a third of the ride before they had to stop it
There are only 8 good (non-kiddies) rides.
Two of those were not operating but there is no indication on their website at all, only if you download their app.
Two broke down while we were queued and took over half an hour each to fix; one then only operated at half capacity for most of the day, making the wait even longer.
The queue times shown in the app are mostly bogus - one ride reported 0 minutes wait when it was actually over 1.5 hours! Others were half the real time.
Parking is a hike and a half from the entrance even if you pay for their Speedy Parking option, which gains you maybe 100m. Ordinary parking is also expensive.
Wifi is poor. Food is as expensive as you might expect.
Most animals were not on display.
The food was good somewhat dry tho I got the double burger and fries but probably the best food in the park but for two people it was 53 USD.
We had an incredible experience at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on New Year’s Eve! The park exceeded all expectations in every way. The kids (ages 2.5, 6 and 10) were able to enjoy all the rides they wanted—some even twice—thanks to the short lines. They loved the food (ate it all), and the holiday lights created a magical atmosphere. The $20.00 meal deal is awesome and the four for $20 special was sooooo worth it!!!!
What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and made the day feel truly special. Seriously! Everyone was so nice, and that is not common these days. Additionally, the value for the price was unbeatable.
Closing out the evening as the last to leave the park was the perfect way to end a memorable day (and year for that matter). Highly recommend Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for a festive and enjoyable holiday outing! A+++
The park was extra fun and special the kind workers really made our day. They were all positive happy and helpful. Thank you to the girl with red ish short hair in the game area. You were so positive. You amd the other guy long black hair were alone in the game area running game to game for us. You guys were so awesome. Keep up the good work and great customer service
Man, they Finally showed all rides open today and so I drove 2 hours to ride the Last 2 rides (thrill rides) and we get here and you see maybe 3 rides up and running! BOTH of the rides that would've made up for the Worst waste of money and time. If it says it's open CALL FIRST, these dummies posted them as up and running. Man I HOPE the parent company of Great America makes this waste of time and money better. In fact just go to Great America because Any time I have been there there was No more than a half hour wait at best and there was only 1 ride not in service there and they have twice the rides and Better ones at that! I would've got another one but this place is a JOKE! I'm inside the park now and purchased a great America Pass and am gonna go ride real rides
This place was horrible. More than half of the thrill rides were broken and not operational. I waited in line on the Joker for 2 hrs, then it was also shut down.
Update: dec 2024. This place still sucks. The app says that flash is open but when I came the employees says it is not open at all. Now the app lies.
Restaurantji Recommends
Used to love it and have held season passes, but after going several times where half or more of the roller coasters are closed, I decided to skip the passes for this next year. Just not worth it. Plus you can't bring in any food or water and they are expensive and junky in food availability. I would rather just save the money for a big trip to a nicer park less often.
Park has significant maintenance issues.
There are only 7 thrill attractions for adults: 2 were permanentlty closed, 3 closed all day until i left at 4p, leaving only 2 rides working.
These same rides were open and closed throughout the day.
Both water rides were closed.
Most of the animal shows were closed.
Parking was a LONG walk to gate.
Dont go during the anytime except summer. They close almost all the park and they are not clear about it in their website.
Amazing. This was our Christmas adventure for our kids and grandkids. Don't think it could have been any better
We traveled from Toronto to enjoy the rides. Our family had a great experience and enjoyed rides for all ages. The animal interaction was amazing and educational.
Unfortunately, the rides, Medusa and Flash, that I wanted the most were closed during the days of our visit.
Overall, it was a very good experience. Thanks to all the friendly and helpful staff.
