Best egg foo young ever! The owners are very nice. If they make a mistake, they quickly replace and correct their mistake.

OK thank you yo I love the way you prompt my new reviews now because I had already reviewed this restaurant and I haven't been back. I'm pretty certain that I won't be returning to this restaurant because I did not like my only experience ever eating there in the restaurant and I probably won't order it to go either because I know there are other Chinese restaurants in Vallejo that I can go to. I won't name any of them on this site because I don't know if I'm allowed to, but there are at least two or maybe three restaurants Chinese restaurants in Vallejo that I can choose to go to instead of going to this place that I gave a bad review to.

Worst Chinese I ever had. Ordered honey walnut shrimp and fried rice. The shrimp were sitting in oil and the rice taste burnt. This place used to be my favorite. But haven't been in years. Must of changed owners.

The food doesn't taste the same and the guy owner is very rude magnolian chicken no spicy flavor it was just not what I'm use to. I miss the old owners. I won't be going back there

Cantonese food is difficult to find in Vallejo because many restaurants offer Mandarin dishes. Some people don't notice the difference, but I do since I'm first generation Chinese. Combo Express has changed ownership recently; we don't care for the frozen Costco-like pot stickers. They used to be hand made but no longer. China Wok isn't too bad, but it's still a trek from Glen Cove. Then, my husband decided to give Kwongnan a try. The staff told him that they're Cantonese, plus make the pot stickers by hand. We went with one order of pot stickers and the combination dinner for two. With a variety, we'd be able to tell if we liked the food or not. Well, they passed the litmus test. Everything was hot and savory. The only downside was the portions are much smaller than some places. It's a little hole-in-the-wall, yet we enjoy supporting small, local businesses. We'll return the next time we have a craving for Chinese food.

First, we like to frequent local businesses. Yesterday for lunch at Kwongnan Restaurant. The place was like a ghost town with no guests. We were not sure if we needed to sit down or go to the counter to order. Staff was not very nice, had a difficult time understanding us. We ordered drinks, asked for ice and a cup, NO, CAN ONLY. We went to our table and waited for the food to come. It was excessively hot in the restaurant. When the food arrived at the table we were so very disappointed. Styrofoam plates, plastic forks and all the food was brought to the table in TO GO boxes. When I asked for a straw, the server brought me over to a counter, lifted a water pitcher to provide me a straw that was in a plastic bag like you would find at a grocery store. I took a peek at the kitchen and wanted to know how long it's been since the health department was there. All this and the potstickers were nasty, stingbeans tasteless, and all this for a measly $60.00 for 2 for lunch. NOT AGAIN!!!

Simply the best place to get chow fun in the North Bay. Is is a dive? Yes. Do they take cards? Sometimes. Is there table service? Maybe. Is the food on point? Yes. Go. Get take out. Enjoy.

I moved to Vallejo in the beginning of 2019 and have only eaten a few of the Chinese spots out here. The couple that I have tried were all decent but nothing special or beyond just okay. With that being said let me just simply say that Kwongnan cooks up some really good dishes! We ordered the War(they call it house special I think) Won ton soup, general tso chicken, shrimp chow fun, salt and pepper pork, and a crab Rangoon appetizer. Everything was cooked great and every dish tasted good or even better. Now let me get to the cold hard truth about this place. This place is not listed on Uber eats or any other app like that. With this place having the best overall in Vallejo area (out of 4 other locations) you would think that the service and the way the business is ran would be matching in some way... WRONG. Lol. The lady and old man who are always there tag teaming the place are probably the owners and just don't have it in them to tighten up business practices. I won't mention all the bad cuz I'm still coming back for the food I'm just calling before to make sure they CHOOSE TO ACCEPT CARDS the day you go because I ordered two days in a row and second day I show up to pay and pick up lady tells me in person (instead over the phone when she took my order down and asked me literally four times did I want to add anything smh) that the card machine is down today like I didn't just pay with my card 17hours ago. Luckily, they spend their energy making sure the food is on point! Which is crazy because I've read reviews that the old owners had better food here!? Anyways, if you ain't all boujee bout them hood gems with the good food and ugly place this will definitely be a winner for you! But if you expect to bring your family in for a nice meal with ambience to match just step back and take a look at the outside of the restaurant lol it's a clear indication of what the inside is like. Food is really good but the old place hasn't been tended to since Covid 2020. They even got pictures of sushi rolls on the wall but not on the menu Hahaha! Come onnn This place isn't for everyone but take it to go and eat at home it will heighten the experience of trying their food. Food here is 5 stars plus! Service and ambience is in the negative stars lol but I'm coming back!!! I can deal with crap service by just taking food to go... I have a hard time dealing with wasting time, money and sometimes stomach health on crap food

I used to love this place because the food was always delicious. It is terrible and I won't be visiting any time soon.
