Reading these reviews, the good ones, bring back wonderful memories of the past. I was there most Friday afternoon/evenings from 90 to 93 when stationed at CSTSC Mare Island as an instructor. Great to see this place still in business. Great people then and apparently now.
Bartender I interacted with is very knowledgeable and accommodating to your liking of what you're in the mood for.The place is out of the way of your average bar, but the atmosphere once inside more than makes up for that.Many regulars, and are very friendly and polite.Definitely recommend.....
Cool, laid-back neighborhood joint, regulars and has a Cheers-y feel to it. No Coach, Woody or Sam though! Damn, THAT would really MAKE the spot!!!...plus, I am CERTAIN the place is Graced in some form or fashion, as I stood and watched it withstand a MASSIVE AND RAGING FIRE just a few months ago that was FAR too close to the bar for it to have received not even a carbon fiber of damage! Rightly so though...I don't hardly go there at all, but I HAVE been implanted into it's...
