The food was great but I had to KEEP One star🙃 for the following reasons. ! I didn't get the Memo and, while I spent the hour and a half waiting, I saw more delivery drivers waiting LESS TIME than ME, who is disabled and not able to sit that long! Nxt time I'll let the driver sit in the sun instead, their time is PAID Either way. There's not many spaces already, to park, and I watched someone come park and go to neighbors Shop to check their oil 🙄 and ppl had to park around corner, paying that much for food. Disabled space is not easy to get in once Employees take other convenient space, So stay home and wait for some Great store bought food but worth suffering in heat for it., though.🤔🤨

***update*** Received a call from the owners who explained that they were closed due to a large catering order. She immediately offered to refund the bill and apologized for the misunderstanding. We had a lovely conversation and I am STILL eager to try everything on the menu!

The shrimp was Devine, juicy, fluffy, no grease, and just the right amount of texture. Not a fan of fried, however, this is a place I would certainly return. WELL DONE NOONIE, very delicious ate all before I could a photograph will return very soon.
A special touch I especially, water with lemon or cucumber.... silverware, not plastic.
The owners and staff are very friendly, they greet customers by name or endearment..
I love Vallejo, has such a variety of different cuisine in our downtown, from Southern, Italian, Korean, Caribbean,
Chinese etc.. Vallejo is the place to be...

Comfort food supreme. I cook Chicken and waffles often so I wanted to try something I can't get in Hawaii. Grits w/ green onions and bacon bits
Definitely a down home southern vibe. Many soul food favorites are available here. The fried chicken was SMACK A LICIOUS I am a FAN !

Called to place an order and the phone person was rude and kept hanging up the phone

I’m surprised to read mixed reviews because this is one of my new favorite places to get soul food. Got the meatloaf, mac ‘n’ cheese, and yams. Delicious and flavorful. I arrived a bit late to pick up my food, but they had a heating lamp to keep it warm. I think more people should understand that some meals can take longer to prepare, when they’re freshly cooked! I will definitely be back to try more plates!

I have been here several times and the food is always good and fresh! Cooked to order. The service is phenomenal and the atmosphere feels like home. You can’t go wrong with this place. I highly recommend!

Takes forever to get food. Like an hour. Wasn’t even that busy

Ordered smothered porkchops, got porkchops with gravy pour on it...Not smothered...food was not tender as you would expect for smothered meal, ran out of bread which there was NO COMPENSATION, PLACE OT very tidy..sorry but it's true..they've LOST MY BUSINESS..4 SURE! DONT SEE THEM BEING SUCCESSFUL In the future..
