Food is good, the only thing I hate about this place is that they NEVER pick up their phones, I would get it if they are busy but sometimes I want to make a phone order so I do not end up waiting 20 minutes for my food, no one picks up and I walk in just to see the place empty and young girls gossiping in front. It says order online but they do not always have the daily special rates and sometimes I just want to call because I'm driving from work. It's so frustrating with the lack of service this place has because the food and price and location from my house is all great.

Food is great but i ordered at 12:30 & they said 2hrs for half a tray of sushi nachos. Went for pick up at 2pm they said another extra hr. Went in again at 3pm they said extra 10mins. This is the last time im ordering from them. Food isnt consistent anyway. Ordered it 3 times & it was different every time altho ordered the exact same thing every time. Sad but ill make it myself at home for much cheaper anyway

Food quality is so poor. Ordered from this place for the first time on Door dash and one of my rolls was not even cut all the way through! They forgot to give the miso soup with my order and the quality of the food was subpar. Do yourself a favor and go to a another sushi restaurant for your needs.

First timer after seeing it on social media. They have weekday specials. Monday was the sushi nachos, so I ordered sushi nachos with tuna and salmon. It was good. Also tried the spiked boba. Very good, it is spiked with sake. The place is small, and the location is run down, but the food was decent. Halfway into eating, there were gnats that came out of nowhere. When 1 landed on my plate, I was finished and ready to go.

I went Sushi Obsession today and I didn't see the obsession. It wasn't even worth taking a picture of the food. If the food is awesome and good, I ALWAYS TAKE A PICTURE!!! However, in this case it wasn't. I ordered their "Family Meal 1-2 servings" it was not great. The seafood didn't taste fresh. Note to sushi buyer: If sushi is made out of view behind a closed door or curtain, it may mean the owners are not proud to show you their product!!! Also a true Japanese customer would have given this place three thumbs down!!!If you want really great to excellent sushi, I'll give some excellent suggestions. Mikuni's Sushi in Concord and Roseville,California (Japanese Owned.) Momo Sushi, and Yo Sushi in Fairfield and Ayama Sushi Vacaville, California (Japanese owned.) These places get almost 5 star reviews on Google and Yelp. The quality of sushi you shows!At Sushi Obsession in Vallejo they don't know of this kind of quality. They preparation of sushi is hidden from sight out of customers view. Real Japanese sushi restaurants are proud to show what they do in full customer view. NOTHING IS HIDDEN!!! Go to Mikuni's Sushi house or others I mentioned you'll see this kind of excellence first hand.The only thing that was great at Sushi Obsession, their bathroom was very clean!By the way, I also ordered my favorite Sushi dish I get from ALL sushi restaurants for the purpose of testing the quality of their sushi dishes which is, "Soft Shell Crab" sushi roll. Why, because it's a difficult sushi dish to make! Really, it's like making eggs. A simple dish, but you can mess it up and they did! In the soft shell crab sushi roll, the crab was burnt . However, the preparer covered it with sauce and rice to try and cover the burnt taste. However, the burnt taste still came through strong!I paid for my other food I purchased. I asked for my money back on the soft shelled crab. The owner said, no to our server. He said offer him a replacement dish. I accepted, since I had no choice, but I said to myself yikes !!! I asked for their take home "Katsu Chicken Dish". When I received the Katsu chicken dish, I realized why my soft shell crab dish tasted bad. Not only was the crab burnt, but the recycled oil they deep fry in was old. So since I know how food should be properly cooked due to cooking myself, I wasn't surprised when I realized they used recycled frying oil. All restaurants do it, including McDonald's. However, it supposed to be changed after so many uses, unless a restaurant is trying to save money!(NOTE FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS OF "SUSHI OBSESSION" : THEY REALLY WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY VERY BAD! Even if their food comes out bad!!!) THEY HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS WE DON'T REFUND YOUR MONEY!!! I'll show you a picture below in this review to prove it later!In all, I don't believe I'll be coming back to eat from them any time soon!
Having ordered twice from this place, I would say this ain't the place to get your tuna or salmon. The tuna when tasting it is icy frozen. One of my salmon sashimi still had bones it in.As a sushi restaurant, I expected better from it.

Visited here on the recommendation of a friend, and it did not disappoint. I had a steak Bento with chicken wings - if you know me, this is the perfect meal! And everything was delightful. Kids had California Roll, firecracker roll a sisig roll and also the chicken Curry Katsu. To be honest, the chicken curry katsu is probably the only one that didn't get rave reviews, but my kid is also super picky! I'll return when I am in the Vallejo area. I would've added photos, but the food was disappearing before the cameras were ready!
