I've been coming here for years. I absolutely love their food and love their super low prices even more. The cashier Rose is super friendly and has the most beautiful smile. I've usually always ordered the same thing, but Rose has made multiple suggestions to me of other things to try which were all very delicious. She is 10 times better than the previous cashier who worked there, which is why I've finally decided to give them a 5 star review.

The best samosas and the best dips that go with it. So delicious, always freshly cooked and piping hot. I have to try other items on the menu but I couldn't go past the samosas which deserve five stars!!

Disappointing that this quality or presentation is not the same. New owners? I am guessing. Never found anything in my food there before, but I found a long long black hair in my food today, it was disgusting. I received a refund on that one item and barely an apology. I don't feel I will return there. Again one less option in Vallejo for vegetarian food.

Pleasant surprise, traveling from Sacramento I wanted to try a new vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Stumbled on to Vaishnu Express cafe. Wow, delicious! I was abit intimidated never haven ordered Indian but thanks to Rose the cashier who was super helpful, Rose recommended the Dal Makhani which was ON POINT!! Definitely coming back. Simple spot for simply good food!

My family are frequent customers of this place because the food is delicious and service is quick. It's more of a to-go spot but there are a few tables if you need to sit and wait for your order. The food is the star of the establishment and I miss the original staff who worked the front of the house. I am disappointed with a recent experience and agree with another review that the new cashier is not the best. I placed a phone order for pickup and after placing my order I waited for a response like "your order will be ready in ___ minutes" or "your total is ___" but instead she went "hello? Do you have any more questions?" in a rude and stern tone, and after I said no she hung up immediately. That was the entire phone conversation. When I went to pick up the food, there was no one behind the counter. Had to step in the kitchen and call the cook to assist us. I do enjoy this restaurant because the food is worth the value they charge, but the service recently was pretty off-putting so try not to take it so personally. Order your food, pick it up, and be on your way.

Very simple restaurant. Food served on styrofoam. (Which I do not like) I hand the Chana Sagg. It was great rice was perfect. Will definitely go back!

I love this place! The food is delicious and is very reasonably priced. The chole bhatura is my top pick. I'm also crazy about the picked carrots that they serve with meals. So yummy!

I sorely miss the sweet lady who used to work here. I agree with the two others who mention the new cashier - very poor customer service skills with a whopping side of attitude. Her presence changes the experience entirely.

Best indian vegetarian food in Vallejo I visit everyday to eat food and great customer service front desk girl is very respectful humble and amazing service highly recommended.
Perfect spot for a quick grab. Hole in the wall. Low prices. Samosas are so good and fresh tasting. Got two for less than $3. Great little Indian spot. Lady up front was so kind.

The new cashier (young black lady) has attitude issues, needs customer service 101 training. Very rude person who didn't want to be bothered with any questions. Secondly, the new owners shot up the prices from 6.99 to 9.99 for a curry and rice dish. For vegetarian food, not worth it. I've been coming to this place for years but never again.

i've been coming here for 10 years. i choose not to support this business because of the rude girl that currently works the register. in all my life i've never experienced any service person so mean. she does not care. it's very sad because i've always had great experiences, but jeez this girl is insane. how does she still work here? hellooooooo
