I stopped in at Jilberto’s Mexican Restaurant and was not disappointed. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor—exactly what you’d hope for from a solid local Mexican spot. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. The staff was friendly and quick with service, even during a busy time. The California burrito hit the spot. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. If you’re in the area and craving good Mexican food, Jilberto’s is worth the stop!

Why do you drown your food with yellow cheese? I never thought I'd say something had too much cheese but it killed the plate. I was scrapping out cheese of the cheese enchiladas cause it was legit 3 inches wide of cheese inside. Disgusting. The rolled tacos also had two inches of cheese on top. Let me taste the actual food. I didn't order a plate of shredded yellow cheese FFS.

I enjoy Surf & Turf burritos. Hands down, this place makes the best money can buy. All their food is spectacular. It's not much to look at. It seems only the locals know about this place. It consists of a girl behind a podium screaming through a little square window which your food comes out from. There's no tables or chairs. But I promise you, you will have the best Mexican food you have ever had.

Felt like I got charged extra since I ain't a paisano !!! Next time sending my friend to speak the lingo !!!

Large Carne Asade burritos but food is mediocre at best and expensive. Terrible service. Unfortunately one of the few places to eat in Valley Center. I always try to call ahead for carryout but woman named Sondra let's it ring then hangs up. When asked she says "... she is too busy to answer the phone" probably losing the owners a lot of orders and money. Whatever she is paid, it is too much. Owners should really help her find another career... soon.

i usually come here time to time i paid $50 for two carne asada fries and a soup. my food was cold when i received it. kinda upsetting when your paying that much for cold food
