The food is okay. The manager is appalling. I frequently get coffee and mix cream and sugar in. (Which is free and I am paying for the coffee.) I have been scolded for use of cream and sugar, made fun of, and threatened to be banned from the whole cafeteria. This isn’t the way to run a college campus. Many of the students here I know have enough going on and don’t need to be berated for how they mix their coffee. If using more than six sugars in my coffee three times a week is going to put LAVC out of business they ought not to be a college in the first place. Do yourself a favor and bring your own coffee/food. And if you have to go somewhere go to the little coffee shop and not the full fledged cafeteria. Students shouldn’t be treated like this.

As a student at Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC), I feel compelled to share my experience with the cafeteria, and unfortunately, it's far from satisfactory. LAVC's cafeteria has consistently proven to be a disappointing place to grab a meal, leaving much to be desired in terms of quality, service, and overall dining experience. To start, the quality of the food served at LAVC's cafeteria is far from acceptable. The menu offerings often lack freshness and appear to have been prepared with little attention to detail. The vegetables are frequently wilted, the meats lack tenderness, and the overall presentation is underwhelming. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of effort in providing students with nourishing and appetizing meals. Moreover, the taste of the food leaves much to be desired. Many dishes lack flavor, leaving them tasteless and unappetizing. It seems as though the culinary team has neglected to use proper seasoning or spices, resulting in a bland and uninspiring dining experience. Additionally, the lack of variety is a major drawback. The limited options on the menu often repeat, leaving students with few choices and little opportunity for culinary exploration. In addition to the disappointing food, the service at LAVC's cafeteria is lackluster. The staff members appear disinterested and indifferent, rarely displaying a friendly or welcoming demeanor. The lines can be long and move slowly, causing frustration and wasted time for students trying to grab a quick bite between classes. It is essential to provide efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere to enhance the overall dining experience, but unfortunately, LAVC's cafeteria falls short in this regard.Lastly, I must mention a concerning incident that occurred during my time at LAVC. On one occasion, my best friend was asked to leave the cafeteria without a valid reason. This incident demonstrated a lack of professionalism and proper customer service. Such behavior towards students only adds to the negative perception of the cafeteria and raises questions about the institution's commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for its students. In conclusion, LAVC's cafeteria fails to meet the expectations of students seeking a satisfying dining experience. With subpar food quality, lackluster taste, indifferent service, and questionable incidents, it is clear that improvements are desperately needed. Students deserve a cafeteria that prioritizes their well-being and provides them with nourishing meals and a pleasant atmosphere. Until significant changes are made, I would caution fellow students to explore alternative dining options outside of LAVC's cafeteria.

The lady manager is rude and arrogant. During the busy lunch time only one cook working. Numbers after me already received their food and when I asked how much longer for my order, she tried to give a lecture how patience is key. Understaffing and making cook work extra because you are disorganized is her key. So sad that a person so rude is a manager. If she spent more tome working and less time arguing with students maybe people would get their orders on time.

Great salads ????????? breakfast ? ?
The cashier didn’t give me the right change back when I paid more then my meal actually costed
The food was outstandingly amazing better than high school cafeteria lunch
Delicious sandwiches, quick service, not amazing but good nonetheless
Not a good cafeteria if you are looking for a healthy meal. They have decent food options, but it would be better if at the very least you could customize a healthier sandwich than being constrained to the menu options. None of the drinks or refrigerated section items, or chip racks have a single healthy choice option. It is a let down as it should be more convenient to eat at the cafeteria.
My crew and I were doing some Surveying on site and decided to try out the Cafe. The pricing was fair and so was the food. The food was okay better than a fast food joint. The cafe was very clean.

Way overpriced for what is offered, and they've made multiple mistakes with my orders. Only reason it's not one star is because there are a couple of nice employees there.
The food was tasty and the cook and cashier were very helpful and pleasant.
