Food was good, prices are fantastic and service was friendly but a tad slow. Margaritas were good too. Service was good and very attentive. Food was fresh and hot! Chips and salsa included both corn and flour chips. Shrimp enchiladas with green sauce were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. Set on the side of Highway 12 among oak treed flatlands and vineyards, El Torero provides authentic flavorful food and a full bar. Prices are very reasonable as well. No disappointments. The decor is simple with vintage Mexican art on the walls. Seating choices are booth or table, and the bar is connected to the restaurant by an arched doorway. Many visitors enjoy trying different types of Mexican food, with combo meals offering generous portions of homemade beans and rice. Chips and salsa, a mix of corn chips and homemade flour tortilla chips, are served right after seating. The place is a nice little spot with a nice bar and a friendly atmosphere where everyone seems to know each other. Many customers find the food very tasty and plan to return, especially after a good experience with friendly service and flavorful dishes like the Verde chili and shrimp enchiladas.
