We are there yesterday. when the owner was there the food was good. It has change a lot. Husband ordered Chicken Suisa Enchiladas. No flavor. Green sauce was boring, terrible, rice no flavor. I had a baria taco, looked more like a fried quesadia, no lettuce, cheese or tomatoes. Not sure we will go back. Slow service and no one was there. SAD!

The service was slow. might of understood if they had been busy. Ordered simple plate of flautas, 1 small bowl pozole(2 pieces of meat) 1 LG bowl pozole and enchiladas michoacana (bistec had no flavor) I was told they had no chicken. The papas were good. They charge for additional chips! I wouldn't go back. We came from Ione and we were hopeful coming in but Don Luis in these parts are is our only option for now🤷♀️
I do think the Carniceria has a good variety of carne available👍🏼

Everyone was very nice, Rivera's taqueria was very clean, free parking and the food was scrumptious. Just stopped in for a quick hors d'oeuvre, had the Taco Tuesday. One of the most tastiest recipes for chicken meat I've had in a long time. Marissa was our waitress and she couldn't have been any nicer.
A great improvement over the last place that was here. Thank you for coming to Valley Springs I look forward to coming back and having some dinner at your establishment. Muy delicioso!!

Today my husband picked up a taco salad for me and we both are a little taken back. We have never had a issue with the food until today. The taco shell tasted like straight floor cleaner. Like of the store the cleaner next to the food or something. We called and let them know and we took the food back. The stated they were unable to do a refund because he used a credit card, but they did give us some sort of verbal store credit. I wasn't really in the mood for another, but yikes. Even my husband agreed the shell tasted like chemicals.

Food is NOT authentic nor is most of it any good. Only one dish we bought was worth paying for and we bought like 5. The people there are very nice but honestly its not worth going just for the friendly faces.

Carne asada taco salad was good. Chile colorado was not. Very small portion for the price and the meat was extremely thin and very overcooked. Basically inedible. Spice level and flavor was good. Tortillas had definitely been sitting around for a while, they were a bit hard and tasted stale. Nearly $40 for these two items and one beverage. Taco salad worth the price, chile colorado not even worth half. I didn't find the set up of the interior confusing at all, as some others seemed to. I will try this place again, however, because I happened to come here on an extremely slow day and I'm hoping during busy times the food will be fresher.
