I live across the street from Don Zarape and have eaten here probably a hundred times - but I started waking up earlier for a new job and while having my coffee in the morning I look out the window and I watch the workers opening the store. I was absolutely shocked to see their employees using a hose to spray the trash and debris from the sidewalk into the gutter. They don't even have the decency to get a broom and dust pan and put the trash in a trash can. They put it in the street and then spray it down the street so you'll notice two piles of filthy trash and debris on each side of their restaurant in the gutter. They do this all the time. I watch them take a bunch of broken glass and put it in the gas station parking lot. They didn't even sweep it up and put it in the trash. A week later I walked over there and the broken glass is still there in the gas station parking lot where Don Zarape employee put it so he wouldn't have to do the right thing and clean up the mess. I'm sorry, but I'll never eat here again AND I am telling everyone I see what horrible community members these people are. We all live here. This is our neighborhood and they are just putting trash in the street. Bad for the community, bad for the children, bad for the world. I will never eat here again. I will include photos of the trash from last week. I will continue to take photos of the trash they leave and put it on their yelp and google page so people know that they are not good community members and do not care about safety or cleanliness - someone could get hurt on that glass that is still there.

The absolute best Mexican authentic food great prices good service. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Dropping Mexican Food is next level. Everything tastes homemade and full of authentic flavor — it’s like someone’s abuela is back there cooking with love.
The soup? Incredible. The shrimp cocktail? Packed with flavor and super fresh. And the handmade tortillas… unreal. You can taste the difference. Even the chips and salsa are freaking amazing — I could eat just that and leave happy.
This spot is a hidden gem and highly, highly recommended. If you’re craving real Mexican food, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

I love coming here for their caldos and combination plates. Their torta was amazing and I would highly recommend it. It’s honestly a nice visit every time I get a chance to come here.

We’ve struggled to find great Mexican food until now. And now we’ve been coming here frequently. Service is very good too.

NEVER COME HERE TO EAT SEAFOOD. AS SOON AS THEY BRING YOU THE TOSTADA MIXTA, IT SMELLS AND LOOKS OLD. THE SAY THEY SELL 7 MARES, BUT IN REALITY ITS 4 MARES. THE WAITRESS WAS SARCASTIC. FIRST TIME AND LAST.

This Mexican restaurant at Don Zarape deserves every one of its five stars. I absolutely adored my experience here; it was our inaugural visit, and it exceeded our expectations. Despite the early closing time at 6 pm, we managed to arrive at 5 pm, giving us a satisfying hour to enjoy our meal. Next time, I'll be sure to arrive even earlier. I savored the fish soup, caldo de pescado, paired with horchata, while my wife delighted in the shrimp Coctel with a refreshing jaimaca drink. The flavors were outstanding. For your convenience, I've included the menus for you to peruse.

The amount of the total was altered higher than what I paid for my breakfast
Cashier increased my receipt by $6.00 more than the amount of the food.
I trusted the honesty of the place and did not accept the receipt of my purchase.
I called several times to speak with the manager and they always told me he was not available.
A robbery of $6.00
