I haven’t eaten here but I wouldn’t mind. The space is clean and the service is always great. They are generous and the food is fresh. Glad to have this location in the neighborhood!

The signature bowl was amazingly delicious with all natural, fresh and healthy ingredients. This is the location I know that red caviar is included. The customer service was great. Parking is available. I highly recommend this location for everyone.

When I was walking by, I was attracted by an advertisement for ice cream that looked like macarons! I got a mango and coconut flavor, which was very original and delicious. I had never tried anything like this before.

I ordered through Postmates and half my order didn’t show up and no fish in my bowl. I ordered a custom bowl and ice cream macaroons. All I got was rice and seaweed.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. What a joke of a café. The portions are laughably tiny — more like samples than actual meals. They nickel-and-dime you for every little topping, served with a teaspoon as if they’re sprinkling gold dust. The smell inside is nauseating, like rotten fish left in the sun, and sadly the fish looks just as bad as it smells.
I waited TWENTY minutes for basic rolls (seriously?), only to get something I wouldn’t feed to my dog. To make matters worse, one of the employees had their child running around the place completely unsupervised, bothering everyone and making it impossible to enjoy what little there was to “enjoy.”
The radish literally stank, and the cream cheese was yellow. Yellow. That is not fresh — that is spoiled. Absolutely disgusting. This is hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Save your money, save your stomach, and go literally anywhere else.

I don’t live in the van nuys area. Today I was working down the street from balboa poke. So gave it a try,& it was delicious I got the poke bowl . Everything was very fresh and a lot of sides to choose from. Also ther are a lot of options for sauces, seems like it’s family owned and they are friendly and accommodating ,

Spanish guitar covers of classic songs, even lighting, a clean dining area, and a spotless preparation counter. The atmosphere was fresh. The gentleman helping me had such poise, handling my order and handing out a delivery order at the same time, that I had no time to even consider feeling indignant. And the bowls... maybe it was the excellent and swift service, maybe the peaceful atmosphere, but that was some excellent poke. I hope to return soon.

I recently visited Balboa Poke and had one of the best poke bowls l've ever tried. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The fish was super fresh and melt-in-your-mouth quality. I loved how the spicy mayo added a kick without overpowering the natural flavors. The portion size was generous, and they didn't skimp on the protein or toppings. Service was quick and friendly, and the staff were happy to offer recommendations when I couldn't decide. If you're a poke fan or trying it for the first time, Balboa Poke is a must-visit. Clean vibes, great ingredients, and worth every penny.
