Chelo is AMAZING! I’ve eaten at the restaurant and ordered delivery, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — that’s why I keep coming back! Their lemonade is also a must-try, it’s so good. I absolutely love this place!

I just got out of there 5 minutes ago and already have a stomach ache. You gotta cook your kabob more. I don't how this spot has a 4.7 rating with barely cooked koobideh. I was worried when I grabbed my plate, but I figured they knew what they were doing. I guess not.

Was in a part of town that I don’t live in and needed something to eat. My friend and I literally just googled whatever was nearby and decided to take a chance… So glad we did! We ended up sharing one of the skewer combos and had more than enough food between the two of us. The food is good and the staff are super friendly. It’s a small place, very casual and I will absolutely be going back.

This spot caught our eye. We stopped in with quite an appetite. This place looks like a takeout spot, but they have a nice small dining room. You order at the counter and they call you when ready

We started with some Pita and the Garlic Shallot Yogurt dip. It was good. Note, the Persian Iced tea is good but very sweetened.

I ordered the Shish Kabob and the Chicken Kabob. Both were tender and delicious. The saffron rice served made a perfect complement.

My wife had the Chicken Koobedeh and the Shish Kabob. Both plates came with a small lentil soup. They also give you a choice of small dips, such as hummus, to go with the pita bread.

The best item was the chicken kabob. It was very moist and flavorful. All the other skewers were good but not as good as the chicken.

The portions were generous; we took half of each plate home! Definitely filled out appetite. Lastly, I couldn't resist the homemade bakklava.

Next time I'm back in Van Nuys, I'll have to stop by again.

It's my dad's favorite, place is always tidy and clean, staff is always nice and patient when we don't know what to order. Food is very good and fresh.

Ordered #5. Everything was really authentic, fresh and tasty.
$16.45 for chicken breast kebab, rice, salad, small lentil soup, hummus, pita.
Surprisingly every single thing was good and the quantity was just right for the price (incl. leftovers). Will come again.
