Close to a 30 minute wait for the pastrami which cost $17.20. Nothing really wrong with the sandwich but not worth $17 and not worth 30 minute wait. Places just too small.

Katrina is the best! She's the very reason we go here. The best Pastrami Sandwich anywhere. We really love the Tuna as well. We usually take the Tuna home and eat it the next day. Tastes great or even better the next day.

DeFranko’s is an OG sandwich stop in the valley. They have been around for over 50 years. It’s a little hole in the wall stop with no indoor dining but they have a few tables and chairs outside with a very small parking lot.The service was just okay. They definitely get a lot of orders in person and over the phone. There was a line out the door. I recommend calling ahead because they do get busy!I got the Italian sub for my parents who were in town and a chicken salad for me. The chicken salad was just okay. After reading more reviews, I wish I had gone with the pastrami because that one seems most popular. My parents enjoyed their sandwich but wish it had more meet inside.I will definitely come back again by calling in and trying something new.

I've been driving by DeFranko's for a while now and decided to stop in to try their Tuna sandwhich and the Italian Cold Cut. The Italian cold cut was delicious, and I would definitely recommend adding extra mayo. When I got home, I did add olive oil and red wine vinegar to my sandwhich, and it took the flavor over the top! I really like the bread that they use also--every inch is covered in sesame seeds and it has a nice flavor/texture. The tuna was not very good--it tasted like cheap tuna from a can, which isn't bad if prepared correctly, but the tuna here is kind of dry, thick, and bland. I wouldn't get this one again, but that's okay, the other sandwiches look really delicious, especially the hot ones. They also have quality kettle chips and quality cane sugar sodas. The atmosphere is a low key, no frills sub shop with a deli counter. Definitely check it out :)
