I tried Emperor Express and was absolutely amazed! From the moment I entered the restaurant, I was welcomed with open arms and the warm hospitality was unparalleled. The food was exquisite - flavors were bursting in my mouth with every bite. The menu had a great selection of dishes from all around the world that were expertly crafted. In a nutshell, it was a delicious eating experience that I won't soon forget. In addition to the incredible food, the atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable; the wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Emperor Express for its fantastic food and excellent service!

My absolute GO TO for great Chinese Food!! This restaurant reminds of the great Chinese food we used to have growing up on the east coast!I always get the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp lo main. And they have great portion sizes. Even my parents eat from here when they visit from the east coast!!Thank you Emperor Express!!Brandon Larkins

Walked in a couple minutes before Emperor Express were set to close on the night of Christmas Eve and made a rather large order; Now, normally I would not wait until closing to make an order but after a hectic day it didn't even occur to me to check their hours before I stopped in. Nevertheless they happily accepted my order and I'm so glad they did because the food was outstanding!! The shrimp in particular was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the lo-mein noodles had the perfect chew, and the black pepper chicken was bursting with flavor. I will absolutely be returning in the future.

The food is always super fresh and good. They also have an amazing beverage selection. The service is always quick and pleasant. There isn't much of an ambiance, as it seems more of a pick up location, but again, the food is totally worth it.
Yelpers came to the rescue once again by recommending Emperor Express for egg foo young - a family favorite growing up in New York, but difficult to find in Los Angeles ... Great recommendation - look forward to trying other items on their menu. Thanks Yelpers !!

Don't have any pics to share so I will cut to the chase. My rating applies to the food and not the decor..which I thought was a bit tacky. Menus taped to the window with masking tape. Anyways, the food. Ordered egg foo yung and it was really good. In my humble opinion. Also got four egg rolls which I gobbled down without hardly chewing. And a sweet and sour chicken bowl. The chicken bowl was a lot of food. Prices in LA are high as minimum wage is high but everything, well most everything, is high. What softened the blow was being able to get three meals out of what I purchased. Bottom line, I'm a happy camper.

Pretty good for the price, if the chicken in the bowl was sliced chicken breast that would make this my new favorite spot. Too many fatty pieces not chewable. Fried rice tasted great with the orange chicken sauce dropped over it.

I have been coming here for about 20 years. Ownership has changed hands but food quality is good. But their customer service is horrible. I understand that COVID and the labor shortage has really hurt restaurants and especially small local ones. But the service here has steadily declined. During busy periods they don't answer the phones which meant I have had to drive over to the restaurant to place an order. Their pricing is inconsistent depending on which platform you order from. When you try to talk to the employees about the service or cleaning the place they just ignore you because it's clear they don't know what to say and just shut down. No matter how many times I've asked to talk to a manager, they say they are never there and they won't give you a number or email address. There is total lack of ability to respond to questions or requests as it is beyond the capabilities of the staff to respond. There is never a friendly greeting or acknowledgement if you are a regular patron. What was a nice, clean restaurant with good service is now a dirty, crammed with junky furniture shoved to one side and served by a crew that has no idea what customer service. I have tried repeatedly to talk to anyone there but no luck. So sadly I order from other places now.
