I've dined at many of our Korean Restaurants in Los Angeles and Korea too, and I certainly love this small place. Of course their Galbi is the centerpiece of their menu but every dish is unique and resembles what I had in Seoul. The dishes are perfectly measured while the banchan is adequately similar to those in other similar restaurants. What separates Greenland is the nuances that make their dish a little uniquely from the Korean palate. The ambience is simple, but if you look around especially during their busy time, you see a mixture of Koreans and a spectrum of people packing this place. So, if you're starving for some Korean, come to Greenland and taste the dishes that makes them uniquely Korean.

Service dog and owner was required by owner for documentation. For your information, per ADA Title III: When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task. Allergies and fear of dogs are not valid reasons for denying access or refusing service to people using service animals. When a person who is allergic to dog dander and a person who uses a service animal must spend time in the same room or facility, for example, in a school classroom or at a homeless shelter, they both should be accommodated by assigning them, if possible, to different locations within the room or different rooms in the facility. You are the inly establishment that asked that. Other restaurants and even hotels Never asked for proof of paperwork. Educate yourself! Your restaurant is not that high end to be discriminatory to people with disablilities!

This place is a sleeper. It's comfort Korean cuisine without having to go all the way to Ktown. Their soups are good (seollengtang, gamgjatang, soondae guk) as are the stir fried dishes (squid and pork belly both delicious. They have some bbq meats available too, but it's really not their key items so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. I also really like their potato banchan. Give it a shot if you're looking for soups or some of the comfort items.

First time I went here was two years ago after restaurants started having in room dining. I felt like I was walking into a restaurant I see in the Kdramas I watch. The food is delicious and the ahjummas are patient if you don’t know what to order, I don’t like spicy food so I asked about the level of spiciness in certain dishes. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere so don’t come here if you have no patience and just want your food in a hurry.
