THIS PLACE IS CLOSED AND CONDEMNED!!!
This place needs to narrow down what type of food they are serving. There are 19 different countries in East Africa. Unless they are serving all Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Reunion, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Somaliland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe's food they need to rename their joint.

Dietary restrictions: Much of the food has peanuts (ground nuts), but they were able to accommodate my allergy.
Recommended dishes: Fish Curry and Rice, Ugandan Food
Pretty much a low key spot with GREAT Ugandan cuisine made with care (I could tell)!!! Tried & LOVE the goat meat soup with rice, some plantain & gnut spread (peanut taste is immaculate). Must return more sooner than later!

This was the most disgusting experience of my life. I’m so disappointed that they saw us and thought it was ok to con us. $50 for food that was old and microwaved. She should have been honest and said she didn’t have any food left but they saw an opportunity for sales and gave us really old food! It could have made us sick even! I’m just shocked ! Rice was dry, chicken was dry, goat was dry. Flavor was off! It was all just wrong. I feel so hurt that they think it’s ok to feed another human that quality of food. We are not animals. I love African food and this was by far the worst food experience of my entire life. From a girl who travels the world for food. I can’t understand the ratings. Yuck!
I love this place, I drive for hours just to get some Ugandan food. The owner is so kind and welcoming, the food is delicious and tasteful. The smell of the goat stew will make you smile, the yams are so good you won’t stop eating.

Great food! May have to wait a while, but worth the wait!
Restaurantji Recommends
Low key restaurant with amazing food! You would never know the restaurant was there, from the street, but go around back and get good portions of hearty and delicious meats and stews.
Great food
Loved the community experience / comradely
Great African Dish
It doesn't make sense how something can taste sooo good. I hadn't had Ugandan food in over a year but oh my.. we found this little gem with the help of Google. The reviews done even do this place justice. The food was soooooo delicious. Had goat meat and chicken stew.l with matooke. Was worth the trip. And the hospitality of the owner was even a bonus. We will ve back when in LA
