Bar tender Emily provides drinks without making customers aware of no $100 Dollar bill policy after consumption of drinks, although being able to pay can't purchase anything else because establishemt has no change I was forced to buy OMOST $100 worth just to be able to pay because of the no $100 dollar bill policy just for the establishment to be able to provide change.......I wanted 4 beers and a pizza that's roughly $45 dollars instead of payimg for 2 beers I consumed and AFTER was made aware of no $100 dollar policy bill I ended up paying $97 dollars just to utilize my $100 dollar bill I highly recommend explore and visit BETTER establishments. I want my $62 DOLLARS I was forced to spend just to for 2 beers I ordered. Unprofessional and very money hungry establishment. I will be ef go back please take this in consideration Take care

Would be 5, but the woman working behind the bar was rude and abrasive. Watched her tell a customer they would have to wait a couple minutes, then look down and spend that time cueing music on an iPad, right in front of them.

Good beer and good pizza, but the parking can be a nightmare. You have to find a spot on the street usually and there are homeless encampments and the area does not seem safe. I went up and down the street on a Saturday and just gave up and went somewhere else.

Macleod Ale Brewing co is a great place to come chill after work or to grab a pizza. I love the decor. It reminds me of an Irish pub but in this case a Scottish one. Their pizzas are soo good. I recommend the Pepperoni, Italian and Bbq Chicken. I also don’t think you can go wrong with any of their pizzas because every single one we tried was delicious. You should also try their beer cheese appetizer. Great vibes, good beer and good food is how I’ll describe this place. We took some pizza to go and everyone enjoyed it. I recommend

A ghost of who they used to be. What was once a nice and niche brewery where my coworkers would trek half way across the valley right after work, we haven’t been in over a year. I was finally in the area and decided to grab a crowler and go. To my surprise, half empty with staff that could not care less whether I came or went. No beers that I recognized, all basic commercial beers (Modelo are you serious?!) what a damn shame, anything unique and fun of that place that I remember is gone. There’s no reason to fight for horrible parking there. I’d rather go to 818 Brewery or Ventura blvd.
So sad, RIP to MacLeod’s From a fan of 7 years, you were gone too soon

Used to be nice a staff but wow times have changed. It’s now super corporate and rude. Ordered the flight and they said it’s now set and you have to have these four drinks. I explained that I definitely can’t have that drink it’s too much sugar, please no koolaid drink just remove it or swap it. They said they wouldn’t exchange it for anything and still poured it 🫠. I tried to explain I can’t drink that and can I please just get a free taster of something else. I explained I’m not trying to rip you off I get it is set just give me something else even smaller like a taster but they did not care and said “it’s set you have to take it.” So sadly I had to leave a full gross kool aid drink.

Always enjoy a beer a local brewery - there’s just something special about having a beer brewed onsite. Unfortunately, MacLeod’s seems to have largely shuttered its brewing operations and moved on to have a long list of guest beers. Huge bummer, especially if you were a cask ale fan.
It’s a shame - many know that there really aren’t a ton of breweries in the Valley, especially not in this area. Ultimately, there is a great selection of brewpubs/beer bars throughout the valley that have exceptional beers on tap. Would love to see MacLeod’s go back to what it was, but until then, pour one out for the good times.
