Mad Jackie Hibachi Catering Los Angeles County

I’m writing this review because Molly is a poor communicator, unprofessional and absolutely unhinged as a person. She is disorganized and did not have the details of our party solidified and even after several emails and text messages she still had the details and needs of our party wrong. There were several instances where Molly wasn’t able to effectively communicate the needs of our party, from the table settings, to the tables, to the flatware. When they showed up the chef had only plastic plates which we clearly communicated we would not be using. When confronted, Molly threatened to cancel the service and have the chef leave. She began screaming at me (as a customer paying $2,500) as if I were a partner or friend of hers instead of a stranger and paying customer. We honored our chef by paying him a cash tip to ensure Molly doesn’t see a dime of it. I wouldn’t trust this woman or her company since she is so unpredictable and volatile.

DO NOT USE This company Mad Jackie’s Hibachi Catering in Los Angeles, THEY CANCELED ON US ON THE DAY OF OUR EVENT. 5 hours before our party. Horrible company, so very rude and disrespectful to just cancel and leave us all hanging to scramble last minute on my husband’s 70th birthday luau celebration, turning it into a nightmare. If you want a reliable company look somewhere else and don’t chance this one. ZERO stars

We celebrated by dad's 83rd birthday at home in our backyard with a group of 10 people. The food was great, portions were enormous, and Kevin was hilarious. Highly recommended for an at home party of any kind. A great value!

Do NOT book Mad Jackie Hibachi. I booked over a month in advance and had communicated with them multiple times via email regarding the food/payment/tip. I checked in the day of because I hadn’t heard from them to confirm and she responded saying “they couldn’t find their email in their system” when she had actually responded to the last email. Attaching screenshots below. For them to drop the ball, lie to try to cover themselves, nonchalantly say “can you do tomorrow” and THEN try to turn it around on me and say I should’ve contacted them earlier in the day. What a scam!

Food is great! Even though in LA there are a lot of luxury hibachi restaurants, even high end omakase, but in terms of cost-effectiveness, this restaurant is phenomenal. This restaurant cost you little but delivers high-end Omakase level service and awesome food. The key part is the hibachi scallops and fillet mignon, nice flavor and juicy, a real gem!

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. Half of our group were children and they sprayed alcohol into their mouths. We thought it was a joke or water until we asked to taste it. It was alcohol/sake. We asked her what she was thinking and she proceeded to do it again to a 3 year old!!! We had to jump out of our chairs to block her from doing it again. What kind of company sprays alcohol into children’s mouths?!? We have video evidence along with the alcohol bottle left behind. This all happened before food so we had to remove them from our homes leaving children scared and scarred from this company.

Chris and Michael provided an unforgettable experience for our dinner party. They were hilarious and engaging throughout. From the sake squirt gun to the delicious food, we enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommend them!
