Very disappointed with this place once again I gave them the benefit of doubt because last time I had a bad experience. My husband and I ordered a parillada for two we gave the lady that answered the phone specific instructions on how we wanted our food. We wanted everything well done. They said it would be around 45 minutes. We get to the restaurant and they tell us our food isn’t ready so we waited another 10 minutes which was OK. We get our food and we drive home When we got home, we realized everything was cold and undercooked That was very disappointed because we paid $50 for this plate. The pico de gallo Was so salty we couldn’t eat it. The refried beans were nasty and the rice was cold. This is unfortunate my husband and I will not be eating here anymore.

The arroz pupusa was not well made did not taste like a Salvadoran rice pupusa , the curtido and salsa also not tipical Salvadorianbstyle and the sopa de pata the worse I have ever try . The service was great but food awful .

Oh my! After going there for many years to pick up pupusas, today, December 13, 2024, Metapán food failed! Ordered 12 pupusas for family and friends. Paid $58.54 NOT CHEAP for bad pupusas!!! 1) Mixed pupusas were not real beef/pork, but chicken🍗 or whatever that meat that was, had to throw them away ! Four of them at $4.34 each! 2) Loroco with Cheese had more tortilla than cheese with Loroco. 3) Cabbage was an old one that Metapan made curtido with and, it was raw/uncooked. Traditional Curtido is made with cooked cabbage! 4) Curtido was super spicy, traditional Curtido is not so much! 🥵 5) Salsa had long pieces of red chiles in the salsa. Traditional, Salvadorean salsa is not spicy 🥵 and has no pieces of red chiles! 6) on top of all that Metapan charged me extra $5.00 !!! Because I requested extra curtido -thinking it was going to be a good and tasty like the one I ordered in November 2024, but was not informed of the $5.00 charge when I requested it! IF Metapan wants to charge a lot, at least make sure the food is up to par!!! I will be contacting Health & Safety Department on Monday to request an investigation of what type of foods/vegetables they have and their proper safety handling. When called and spoke to a "manager/owner" called Simon, he said bring it back and will return the money. Seriously, and compensate for time & gas to?!! "Only Latinos complain" he said. I know my hometown food!!
