I ordered from here because my sister was having a craving for carrot cake. The flavor of the carrot cake was good but the portions were so skimpy for how expensive the slice was. I actually feel genuinely ripped off. The Tiramisu was dry and not great. Order at your own risk.

My local ramen spot in Valley Glen, Los Angeles, California on the border of Van Nuys and neighboring North Hollwood. Ramen Izakaya is great from take out or dine with a plethora of beverage options as well as eats. Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.
The restaurant was over booked due to two for one special, even though we had a reservation we had to wait for half an hour. Then we waited through 4 baskets of bread before our waitress took our order, by then they had run out of many of the menu items. The food was good but next time I would not wait that long and it wasn't worth the special prices!!
Fabulous cuisine. My wife and I have eaten in many of the top restaurants around the world. Swiss Chef does not take a back seat to any of them in quality of food and its preparation. wonderful dishes.
Very nice unique place, like a little Europe. Chef is great and very artistic!!! Will recommend this place to others.
Typical of the area, it's hard to know what an interesting place this is by simply driving past. The décor is festive and distinctly Swiss red and white. The chef himself is a veteran of fine dining establishments and the food reflects this. The menu includes items which are rarely found in the vicinity. The environment is friendly and relaxed, yet the serving staff is quite professional. Don't miss the chef playing the accordion!
They need to improve their food, it is horrible. The pasta tasted like Chef Boy R D, the sausage tasted boiled with little flavor, the fondue tasted like salt and chemicals. All in All, YUCK YUCK YUCK
This place is a treasure! Chef Uele has created a wonderful experience overall. The food is terrific; and Chef and Fritz singing up a storm on the weekends is a delight!
The servers here were so accommodating, even with our 3 kids. The food was delicious and menu was very unique. I think the menu was slightly on the pricey side, but the quality was very good. The tap beer was delicious. I loved the boiled eisbein and the fondue for two was divine.

We were very impressed with the Swiss Chef and Chef Huegli. The food was very good not quite as sour as my wife would like being used to German food. But it was preparred well. Just wish there was a few options for kids but they were accommodating. Enjoyed it immensely and the Italian food was spot on.
Exceptional! Chef Uli split his time between the kitchen and greeting his customers. I had my family with us. All of us were from Germany but had lived here for many years. One of my Aunts was visiting from Germany and had a wonderful time. Chef Uli and his staff sang Happy birthday to my wife Carol in English and German and the cake was out of this world. My aunt visits once a year and said afterwards, "I would like to come here again." We will. My uncle Wolfgang said that Chefs in Europe greet their customers as a show of respect, and he loved Chef Uli's continuation of old world tradition. Congratulations Chef! Alex H.
We have been coming to The Swiss Chef long ago when it was at a different location and name of The Matterhorn Chef. Uli and Judy are the BEST when it comes to personal service. And Uli is a chef like no other...his cuisine is most excellent and represents all the best of Switzerland. The entertainment is SO much fun and perfect for families and any night when you want great food and a good time to really lift your spirits. Recommended beyond compare and our #1 restaurant for special occasions.
Had a great meal for my Birthday!! Our second time there. Would come again and I don't like to write much so this is it. rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah, rah!!
My overall review indicates 'Good', however I have been to Swiss Chef numerous times in the past, and those reviews were always Outstanding. Normally the owner/award winning chef works in the kitchen and occasionally steps out to greet guests and sing Happy Birthday. Then he returns to the kitchen to work his magic. This past Friday I took a group of 10 people to share an experience that I had been raving about. We made reservations and were seated at a table perhaps large enough for 8, so we were very crowded. Service was prompt and attentive. It seems that they have increased their staffing, which was noticeable and welcomed. When the waitress took our orders, I noticed the Chef, Ulei, was out in the dining room singing. He continued to sing song after song, until our dinners were brought out. In other words, he never prepared or even supervised the preparation our or meals. The quality of the food suffered from its usual taste. The pasta was very undercooked, the sauce had no flavor, and side dishes were missing. I came here for the cooking by the owner, certainly not to hear his singing ALL NIGHT LONG. This was a very disappointing evening for my guests and myself. Although other reviewers recommend the Lazy Susan, I disagree and suggest a salad instead. Nothing special about a few small bowls of beans and cold vegetables, and some Chopped Liver.
