I had been craving Efo Riro (vegetable soup), pounded yam, and Jollof for a while now and was told to try The Peppered Goat. I ordered Jollof and chicken and it did not disappoint!! That rice was so good and the chicken was cooked to perfection falling off the bone. I do like my rice a little spicier as I am accustomed to about 3 habaneros but it was still good! The man that greeted me was super nice as well. I can't wait to go back for the pounded yam and vegetable!

I ordered goat egusi and fufu lunch combo, jollof rice and fried plantains. I unfortunately had to throw the egusi away because it smelled and tasted like the goat was unclean. The reviews on this place are amazing so I’m sad about my experience. The rice and plantains were good.

(3.9 stars ) I ordered delivery so I can only comment on the food. I ordered the egusi with fufu. Let me start by saying I feel the love in the food. However I wanted the flavors to be bolder. More seasoning, more spice, more oil more fat. Ultimately , it's hard to satisfy everyone. So I respect this place for doing it's own thing. The fufu was tasty and cooked perfect. I had left over fufu after my egusi was finished. I was satisfied with the portion, but it was a little expensive But still competitive with other African restaurants. I'm hoping one day I can spend $20 for African food and recieve a generous portion.

Man feels bad but i gotta do it… I’ve tried hard to like the place. But The food is bland, no salt no pepper. Ive never seen a asian or thai spot not season the food and they sell out. It looks good but doesnt taste good. Definitely not for the price. 25 for rice 2 plantain and 2 meat. Omo which kind naija dey chop this one. Na this u use represent naija.

Got it delivered with doordash. First time trying and it was very good. I got the chicken egusi, vegetable soup, Jollif rice and the pounded yam. Order was hot and fresh. I would order again.

Honest review: food is amazing. Best naija food I’ve had in LA. I recommend ordering in advance if you plan to pick it up. Ordered stewed goat (tasty, spicy, soft meat), beans & plantain (this slapped omg! I’m saving some just to eat more tomorrow), jerk & jollof (spicy, smoked, and juicy chicken), and beef suya (tasted like authentic naija suya). Highly recommend! We will def be back for more.

Amazing food every time. I order via Ubereats and every time the food is bomb!!! Please keep the spaghetti plate and porridge plate as they are both delicious . Everything is worth trying. Would definitely recommend 100 percent. Good packaging and portions too

Not happy I got goat and this plate was mostly rice for 25.00 the goat tasted old as if it was leftovers. And the goat was tough and mostly fatty. The kitchen was not as clean as I would expect the pots they were cooking out of was old and burnt. First and last time I go there.
The ladies were sweet. But that it.

When I first pulled up I saw how the place was I was skeptical but I like to give people a try....The place didn't look sanitary anyone can walk into the kitchen area it's open and then it's like an office building which I was like ok I still will try it...I got home and the ate the stewed chicken and the rice it wasn't good and then I tried the egusi soup and the fufu and I ate like four or five bites and began to smell something really strong and as I was eating it I became lethargic and my stomach felt ill as if it's possibly old....the only thing that was decent was the chicken pattie everything else had to be disposed of....I gave it try I really did....
was so hungry, and i’ve been seeing fufu and their soups on tiktok so i gave it a shot and it smelled really really strong but i didn’t let that break it so i tried it and nope i tried eating it but i couldn’t, maybe it’s the place, how they made it, or maybe it’s not for me but for me it wasn’t worth it and now i gotta see what else i eat

Takes wayyyyyyy too long. And ur literally standing waiting for your food in a hallway sweatshop environment. They don't talk to you like a customer, more like shut up and wait. Not the vibe.

Seems like I was served with left over egusi and/or the peppered goat dish, because I had stomach upset throughout the night. Not sure which one caused the upset stomach afterwards.
